When turning it on from the tower it goes to a white Acer screen with Del: Enter Setup F12 Boot Menu Intel inside. It holds for 4minutes & 25 seconds everytime before I get the windows login page up. Any ideas or should I try recovery disks?

If you can get into Setup you should be able to change boot options to boot from fixed (hard) disc. Unless the hard drive has been damaged or formatted this should work.
Have you tried ignoring the message and letting it boot normally? The computer might be set to show the POST screen on boot. Let it run and see what happens.
check your removable media disk drives and make sure that you don't have like a jump drive or CD-Rom that the computer doesn't like. If that doesn't work, enter the BIOS setup (usually F2, F12, ESC or something like that....check the bottom of the screen.) and find the Boot Order settings & move hard drive to #1
Uw systeem erkent niet de harde schijfaandrijving. Het is zeer mogelijk
dat sinds XP CD niet de harde aandrijving die de aandrijving zelf heeft
ontbroken zal zien en zal moeten worden vervangen.
He is getting the screen with del, enter , f12 so the power supply is fine it could be his bios battery that needs to be reseeated and factory default loaded. If you left it on for a while it could be in a state of sleep/hibernation and if you should it down manually you could have stopped it from resuming and thats why it wont boot now and by reseating the bios battery for a couple minutes could remove the resume from the computers memory and might fix your problem. Hope my answer gets you closer to a solution. Please Help rate me if I helped you out or not I am new but a very good tech.
