Can't get the 810 printer to scan and have lost instructions

To scan documents to your computer, you will need the Lexmark OCR scan software which can be installed using only the installation software CD that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.
You may refer to the Lexmark X6100 Series User's Guide for more detailed instructions on how to scan to your computer using your model.

The Lexmark X2690 printer is capable of scanning. You can refer to the Lexmark 2690 User's Guide for a more comprehensive instructions on how to use the scan feature.
Note: For scanning documents for editing, you will need the Lexmark OCR scan software installed on your computer. The scan software is available only on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, feel free to contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

This will sound sillier, that model is just a printer and is not able to scan to a PC., there is no scanner.

You need to have the proper software installed to be able to scan. If you have installed it, then open the program and run the scan function. If you haven't installed the software, do a Google search for your printer model. Go to the Canon website and search for the drivers and software for your model. The software on your lost CD can be downloaded form Canon. Install the software and follow the instructions.

Goto this site, click on printers, then style of printer, and etc til you find your printer then either download or print out the .pdf file. I believe it is free.
