You must have an email program like Outlook installed on your computer. When scan to email is selected it simply opens whatever defaul email client and attaches the scanned doc to a new email message.
You have to install scanner and printer software came along with the HP 3030 model.Once setup complete it will try to do self diagnose the scanner connectivity.Then when you press the button on the scanner ,scanner will send the data to pc to activate the scanner software automatically.
Hi , Ok , lets load the software the scanner cake with , this will add an icon to your desktop that you will click on to open , there you should find anoter icon to scan doc, or pictures ..... let me know if you need more help , .......................Roy
You do not say how you are scanning. i mean whether you are scanning from the adf or the flat bed. I would assume the problem is with adf scanning. however, make a flatbed scan and see if it comes out as one page, it probably does. If so then the problem lays with the adf section of the machine. open the cover and you will see a black arm that is sprung loaded. When you load a doc the arm is pressed so the machine knows something is there. now follow the route of the doc and on the turn there is another arm. now i reckon this arm is sticking. See if anything is stuck around it remove it.
Try again and hopefully things will be better. If not repost with more accurate detail.
Hi there. It sounds like you are not correctly setting up your page for scanning. Are you just putting the page in and hitting scan or are you going through the scan "wizard?" You need to let the scanner know what you are printing (color pic, black and white pic, text doc, etc.) and how big it is. Let me know what happens.
i have found the way to scan items from a Canon MX310 (on windows)
1.On windows go to control panel 2. click hardware and sounds 3. then hit devices and printers 4. then click on the Canon Inkjet MX310 seriers 5. then you will see scanner management click on scan Photos or docs 6.then place the photo or doc under the scanner and hit scan!
That is all the steps you will need. 17 years old computer tech.
