I have a Kenmore HE4t front-loading washer with a door lock that is stuck in the locked position. We can still wash clothes and everything works fine if we use a chair to keep the door propped shut. We were getting the F11 and DL codes before this happened. We have figured out how to get the bottom panel open, but not sure what to do next. Please help! Thanks in advance if you know how to fix this.
When I pull the tab, the door does not unlock. We also tried the diagnostics and no alarm codes were given and the door does not trigger itself to lock or unlock. I am guessing I need to replace the door latch but want to be sure first before I order a new part. When I pull the tab, the door does not unlock. With panel off reach up to lock location pull down on small tab door latch will click (at this point door would pop open if it were closed ) retry operation to see if ok if code dl reappear may to replace door lock if f11 may need new control module under top rear..ck wires first ..good luck
good chance the door latch is bad but first be sure strike on door is not broken also look for small button on door frame it could be broke ..also if you hear no noise from lock when using diagnostics could be possible control module..there was a problem with connectors along front edge when door tried to lock a slight click could be heard but no lock operation if you wiggled the connectors (pink i think) the lock would activate..may try that first..if wiggling helps try shimming connection in postion or else ..change the module..let me know results ..good luck

DL f is a door lock error and is caused due to an
issue with the door lock when it is unable to lock/unlock. Please check the
door lock mechanism/door switch assembly and replace the part that has gone bad
so that the issue is resolved. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions.
First thing to check is if your door hinge has a sag to it. The next step if there is a sag is try adusting the screws that hold the hinge on the frame of the door sometimes these do come loose. and do require tightening. Folowing confirmation that there is no sag in the hinge your next step would to order a new door latch. If you are not mechanically capable of removing the front section of the machine you should call a technician

Try unplugging the washer for at 30 minutes to reset the computer, first. If this proves unsuccessful, you can retrieve you clothes by using the manual release. The following link explains how:
Once you retrieve your clothes, try running diagnostics on it. You can envoke the diagnostic sequence by selecting DRAIN/SPIN, NO/SPIN and then pressing any button under OPTIONS 4 times (must be the same button). The display should go to "C00" as the washer begins a sequence of tests that checks the fill functions, door lock, dispenser functions, motor speed, spin and drain. Allow the washer to run through the entire sequence and shut off. If anything is wrong an error code should be generated. Hopefully, all you had was a minor glitch. Let me know how things turn out. I hope this helps you.
you need a new cpu you can unlock door by removing bottom panel reaching up to the door lock and pulling a little ring on the bottom will manualy unlock the door
