The scales seem to be "stuck" in the cm/kg rather than in/lb. I've moved the switch, but the scale does not switch to in/lb. I removed the batteries to reset but that also does not work. Is there a reset button somewhere? Initially I tried to reprogram the ht & age for one person, but was unable to change that information either.

Locate the pound/kilogram (lb/kg) button under the scale near the top of the scale. Select lb or kg weight reading as desired.

Open the battery compartment on the scale underside.
2.
Remove isolating tab from beneath the battery (if fitted) or insert batteries OBSERVING the polarity signs (+ and -) inside the battery compartment.
3.Close the battery compartment.
4. Select kg, st or lb weight mode by the switch on the
underside of the scale.
5.For use on carpet attach enclosed carpet feet.
6.Position scale on a firm flat surface. next......
INITIALISING YOUR SCALE
1. Press the platform centre and remove your foot.
2.'0.0' will be displayed.
3.The scale will switch off and is now ready for use.
This initialisation process MUST be repeated if the scale is moved. ie battery replacement.

After playing with the remote on this scale for about 30 minutes, I finally found out how to change this display from kg to pounds or stones. Since this scale doesn't come with an instruction manual, I know a lot of people are totally lost. OK, first click the user button once, so that the weight and goal weight show. Then hold down the clock/set button. After a few seconds the kg on the screen will start blinking. Then use your arrow buttons to switch to stones, then to pounds. The lb will show at the top of the display above where the kg was. You can also set your goal weight by pressing the set button and scanning through after setting the lbs setting. Hope this helps!

when i turn on my 4010.the screen display shows 4010 but thats all it does.any solution.

There is a switch on the bottom of the scale on mine to use either lb. or kg.

The scale may have instructions on the bottom of the scale. (Example for the Tanita: The Ultimate Scale w/ the body fat analysis). The instructions on the back state the following steps: Step 1: press both the "Set" and the triangle buttons. Step 2: press the "triangle" button until you select the appropriate weight measurement (a) kilogram, (b) stone lbs or (c) lbs. Step 3: press the set button.
