Recently, I experienced an issue with my Whirlpool Duet front loading washing machine where it would stop mid cycle and flash an "F02" error code. Based on the many postings on the internet, I cleaned all the plumbing and checked the pump for obstructions. This did not correct the issue. The next recommended measure was to replace the CCU as it was likely an issue with the control board. Still no luck. I also replaced the pressure switch which measures the amount of water in the machine. After spending nearly $350 on parts, it turned out to be as simple as cleaning the plastic housing at the rear of the machine into which the hose for the pressure switch connects. It had become completely clogged and was not allowing the machine to correctly sense the water being drained. This was in turn causing the drain pump to continually cycle until it gave up after 8 minutes and displayed the "F02" message. There is a single #10 torx head screw holding the plastic housing in place. Once removed, disconnect the vacuum line from the other end and clean. Then replace on the machine and reconnect the vacuum line. Very simple fix.
Error code E09 means there is something the matter with the part in the washing machine control board that drives the motor. Fixing a control board error can be complex. You can try:
Switching off and unplugging your washer when you do this i suggest waiting about 5 minutes before plugging in since your machine can store energy even after a few seconds of being unplugged.
Checking the wiring and connections to the control board
The OB indicates and out of balance condition has been detected by the motor control. You say this happens when the washer is empty also. One thing about the OB error is that the lid must be opened to clear the error and allow the washer to advance to the next part of the cycle. If the lid is not opened to adjust the clothes then the OB error will happen again.
If the OB error was cleared and the OB occurs with an empty load then the motor control has failed.
The drain pump must work. The image below shows how to run a diagnostic test to check the drain pump. Follow the instructions in the image below and check the drain pump operation. If the pump runs and the water does not drain then the sump is clogged. If the pump hums but does not run then the pump needs to be replaced.
zanussi error E20 suggests a pump/draining problem. remove pump/filter and clean it all out. its located at the end of the drain hose at the bottom of machine. power off. it might need replacement.
Hello.
That code is telling you that the unit is draining to slow. After 15 minutes it is not below the low water level and will not spin out. The best repair for this is to replaced the pump on your unit.
Try first cutting power to the machine for two minutes, if that reset the code, then the problem was temporary.
If not :
Check if the machine drained, or if water is not being drained.
If drain system works .take off the the lid , locate the switch, it must have a small hose attached. Remove the rubber hose attached to it, and unlock it by blowing into the hose.
If the water does not drain,
this will also cause the pressure switch error. In this case check the drain hose , and the drain pump.
Finally, ta faulty timer control board can cause the error, you test the control PCB if lid switch and drain system are OK.
If you found coins and such in the drain filter then there is a possiblility that the impeller in the drain pump motor was damaged and you are not getting good water flow thru it. The machine will error out and stop mid cycle if it detects it has not drained in a set amount of time. OE indicated a drain error.
I suspect you need to have the drain pump motor assembly replaced.
