    my model no is 917.274051 ser no 021407 D 001541 but the sears parts by model number
    says 0 = no results for this model . Its in my garage it was made in 2007 . Any idea s ? I have measured the inside belt measurement at 34 inches , Does this seem reasonable ? ie is it a typical length ?Clive

    I agree with you; that model numbe doesn't come up. The other thing that I did was contact my auto parts store and they told me that my belt is a stock item for them; you could try that.

What is the belt configeration for a Craftsman 917.254214 ride on mower?
This video shows several belt patterns for various mowers. I am assuming you are wanting the deck belt and not the drive belt. 4 seconds into the video is the standard craftsman 42 inch belt path. The belt at the bottom is put on the engine pulley. Tip from my own experince make sure that the belt is under the belt guides or you will ruin a belt in short order. Your model number is under the seat and is also a scanable barcode. Another tip is to snap a photo of your model numbers. This is handy when you need parts. Mower deck belt diagram for poulan 42 inch ride mower
Go to Craftsman, Order Tree or Parts Tree.com and input your model number. Choose the correct tab and go to the mower deck. It will give you a good over view of how the belt routes. Hope this helps.

The deck belt is 144959 which is 1/2" X 95" and the drive belt is 140294 which 1/2' X 82", and can be found on amazon, here 1 2 95 Premium Belt Craftsman Poulan Ayp Husqvarna Replacement Belt 144959.... I hope this was helpful. cheers

Need a diagram for craftsman 44" riding mower drive belt. Mine threw belt and cannot locate original manual.

Belt size of cutter belt on craftsman ride on mower 42in cut
Go to www.sears.com and click on partsdirect. Enter your model number of your tractor (found on a data plate usually under seat). It will take you to the page with your parts diagram. Look for the belt in diagram and scroll down to the appropriate number and it will give you the part number for the belt. You can order it from sears and pay shipping or go to local small engine parts department and give them the part number or you can just give them the model number of your tractor and they can get you the belt.

Craftsman Mower Directions
Go to searspartsdirect.com and enter your model number in the space on the right of the page. When the list of illustrations comes up click on ground drive. This will show you the correct installation of the drive belt. Or do you mean " How the Heck do you put this on?"
