Check for the format of the File System as described in the overview. When formatted in Windows Explorer the device has File SystemFAT32: this is the wrong file system for holding data.
Use the software that is delivered with your mp3 player to format it to the correct File System FAT or RAW.
After that your player will hold data after transferring songs.
i formatted my mp3(mw-eoo5f) and i transfered songs using sonicstage 4.3 then when i ejected from my computer and switched on my mp3 it said "FORMAT ERROR"
i have a sony NW-E003F walkman set and i connected it with my lap top then i deleted some songs and some files. after that i removed it and try ed to use it. but it says NO DATA but when i connect it with computer i can open the songs thorough the media player on my computer

u shouldnt format as regular pendrive
u should format throu mp3 play er only
u r having an option home button,press dat button
go to menu option
in dat goto advanced menu
in dat go to initialize
u will have an option format use dat option n format ur player
then u will apper a message COMPLETE

yes you loaded the music and supported by windows but the file system is not applicable. the first should be format your mp3 then download the sonique stage this serves as your file manager you can download songs and automatically converted thru this and save thru your mp3 using this .
