2000 Mitsubishi Diamante Logo
Posted on Aug 25, 2011

I do not have a beeper for my 2000 mits diamante but my front lights on the car continues to flash as if there was a alarm or if there is, it continues to be set off. How do I get the lights to stop flashing as if the alarm has been set off?

1: insert the key into the drivers door key hole and turn it to unlock the door. this should disable the factory alarm 2: if the the alarm is aftermarket then sick ur head under the dash and find the aftermarket alarm and unplug it. it will look like a small plack box about the sixe of a box of matches.

Can the car alarm cause the battery in my chrysler cirrus to lose charge

if the head lights continue to flash of course the battery will go flat. every time the head lights flash there is 65 watts of power coming out of the battery. Have the alarm modulator checked out as it should only flash once or twice to indicate that the alarm is activated.

How can I get the security light to turn off

To bypass the factory security would be difficult or car thieves would have a field day!

your best bet would be to get a replacement alarm key fob and disarm the vehicle that way!

2000 stratus beeps twice, flashes twice, repeats untill stopped, but it drives

This is usually a good situation to bring to alarm shop and have them take it out and see if you can just keep the remote start or it might need a new brain on the alarm system

Factory security system intermittently going off. Wondering if it is a bad sensor or switch. Does the door LED flash a code? 8 long flashes followed with normal short flashes.

CAR ALARM ISSUES

It can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again properly.

Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen.

And last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere in between.

There are few help links with solutions, to troubleshoot these types of problems. I suggest going through these links.

I'm having issues putting the axle back int he transmission on my 2004 mitsubishi diamante LS

My expertise is with Mits Galants but most of that carries over to the Diamante. The front half shaft axles on the mits galant has a circle clip on the end that slides ionto the trans. I assume the Diamante have the same circle clip. Thes are suppose to be replaced each time you pull the axle but usually you don't have to unless they are bent or out of round. These circle clips are suppose to compress when you shove the axle in and then expand once the axle is in. Look at your axles and if the clips are messed up replace them (the clips not the axle). Ideally the axle just slides in with a good solid shove as long as you have the splines on the axle end aligned. There should be a minor catch from the circle clip as it is being compressed.

Where is the plug for 97 mit. mirage to plug in the computer diagno. so i can read the code

Hi there,

The 16pin Diagnostic plug is situated inside the vehicle, usually under the dash, above the knee of the driver (on either side of vehicle).

This is what it looks like:

35d12b0.gif
If you do not have the appropriate scanner, you can retrieve the computer diagnostics by the following process:

1) turn key 'off'
2) connect pins 1 & 4 of the connector (using a suitable jumper wire)
3) turn key to 'on' (do not run engine)
4) any fault codes present, will flash the appropriate warning light on the instrument cluster. E.g. if you have an ABS fault, the ABS warning light will flash. If you have an EFI issue, the Engine Light will flash etc.

Cheers,

No alarm for lights on

I suppose you mean beeper does not go "on" when head lights are "on" and you open drivers door.In this case beeper's door switch may be dirty. Check also for any loose wire connection or faulty beeper relay.
