Help! I am having a problem with my pentax optio t10. It switches on fine and i can view photos that i've taken okay too - but when i try to take new photos with it - it focuses, makes the right noises but then doesn't do anything...it won't let me take a photo - no sign, symbol or message comes up to indicate a problem - i'd appreciate any pointers at all - many thanks in anticipation!!

SOURCE: Pentax Optio T10 turning off immediately

My optio t10 did basically the same thing...turned on, lens goes out, then automatically shut off. I took the advice of a solution listed here for another problem...hit the camera. For whatever reason it worked.

If you're using an sd card or most other standard memory cards you can buy a card reader very cheaply and plug it into the usb of your computer, your computer may even have a reader built in

How to set time and date on pentax optio M30

The date and time (and a lot more) are automatically stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Pentax Optio T10 batteryclip broken

This is a very common problem with this model because the part is made of plastic. Unfortunately the camera must be disassembled in order to replace the part and I know the local service center in New York, Photo Tech is good at this. If the camera is still under warranty then you can either ship directly to Pentax located in Colorado or try the service center in New York. I suggest you contact them at www.phototech.com to find out price and turn around time for the repair.

Good Luck,
Paul

Accidentaly deleted photos on my memory card. My camera is Pentax E90

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

Pentax Optio T10,comes up with Card Locked, when turned on

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

The screen has gone crazy-Pentax Optio T10

I hope i can help you to solve your problem. you said that the output of your cam after shooting is fuzzy as no image displaying... get your cam out of the pouch, do not power on the cam. do not close the pouch of your cam open it fully, then point the lens of your com to the magnet of your pouch.touch each other with the magnet of your pouch, not the magnet place in the cover but the magnet placed in the body of the pouch. after solving the problem, never use the pouch again since the magnet is the main reason of the problem. sorry for my poor English. just let me know if the problem is solved.

Pentax option 430 camera problem

Bassie - did you resolve this? My computer recognizes the camera just fine. I have photos on my card but when I try to download to my computer, I don't see any photos. I've emailed Pentax several times w/ no help to this problem. Do you have automatic MS updates set on your machine? What Virus protection do you have? I've run into problems w/ another program conflicting w/ virus protection software.
