Yes, in most cases this USB device will work properly through a USB hub; however, we recommend that you plug the device directly into the USB port on your computer for best performance.

Why my siyoteam 4 port usb 2.0 high speed hub not working in windows 8 hp laptop. i plug the port into the laptop but it cannot been seen in my pc, is there any thing can i do inorder this usb hub to work...

Perhaps the laptop port is designed for a usb 3.0 insert instead of a usb 2.0? Also try using compressed air to clean both connections. The hub male end and the laptop female end.

4 port USB hub not working...

Try connecting the hub to another USB port. You may even connect this same device to another computer and check if that works. This will help isolate the issue better.

Does not work when cpnnected to the external USB hub. Says "Camers Off". Works OK when connected directly to MacBook USB port? Why?

Make sure your USB hub is working. Confirm by using the with other applications such as connecting your thumb drive or other connections. If other connections will work, then your external hub is okay. Other thing, if your usb hub runs at lower speed than 2.0, new gadgets connection may fail.

I need to really understand access-list

http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/networking/?p=536

If this article doesn't work for you, I have a 2501 on my network and can see if I have any access-list settings in place. I'm not 100% sure that I do.

It would help if I knew which version of the IOS you were running as well.
