    This is the CD that came with the hardware. I had this same problem in 2005 and someone was able to walk me through what must be done to load the software onto my computer with a VISTA operating system.

    I have had this same problem before and an expert was able to enable me to overcome the error without any difficulty. If you can not do so, please refer me to someone who can.

    If you experience this error during install you need to run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

    To download the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility click here (link to Microsoft website).

    Once you've downloaded the utility,



    Also check if there are remaining folders or files remaining for the program you are trying to install check the programs and features in the control panel and check the C:\Program Files Directory for any folder possibly related to the software and uninstall or delete them.

Hi,
I see that you are trying to install a Hot Synk from the cd-rom and it is an .msi file.
You must have a program that can read a .msi file if you system does not have a program that can do so you may have difficulties running the file .msi.
This file from the CD if I may ask did you create the disc using a program or a tool to make a back up of this .msi file?
If not then you can try a different disc with the same .msi file on it see if it will do the same thing, this can be a disc error or a file error if you are using the correct program to run the .msi file you have.
You mentioned a network error occurred as an error when trying to run the disc, make sure you are hardwired when doing this to your Palm because doing this wireless will really give you an error.
This can be a bad file on the disc a bad disc, or a program needs o be used to be able to run and read the .msi file on the disc, also check the conenctions make sure it is hard wired when doing the process thanks.

I have a peg-615c, and I just downloaded the new palm desktop, and installed it AFTER I had switched the compatability mode to xp, and selected open as an admin on the normal screen, and under all users...

TANSFER DATA from SONY CLIE SJ22 to HTC TYTN2
I'm in the process of changing from SJ22 to Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.1 and I have found a way round this by sending data as vcard to myself in outlook then opening the attachment and saving and closing - this is then sent to your device on the next sync. It is a bit long winded but it works.

Open Outlook and leave it open.
In Palm, select the address you want to send, then in EDIT menu choose Forward as vcard, send and close the outlook pop up, saving changes.
Go to Outlook Inbox and open the attachment then save and close.

Clie PEG-SJ22 does not charge battery
Have you tried resetting the unit? There's a little button on the back that you can press in with a paper clip. That'll cause the unit to reset (you won't lose data) and then you might be good for charging.

Have you uninstalled the previous version of Palm Desktop?

Do you have more than 1 profile on your computer? Sometimes multiple profiles can make things difficult is software is installed logged in as one and then you try to install/uninstall as another profile.

Are you installing Palm desktop from a disk?
