# The computer may not have received an IP address. Restart it to have an IP dynamically assigned (or run "winipcfg" in Windows ME or earlier, or "ipconfig" utility in Windows NT), and then launch the browser. # You are running a software firewall on your computer. Disable it while accessing the router's configuration. Also you should realize that running a firewall in conjunction with a NETGEAR firewall may cause other problems. We recommend turning off software firewalls. # Remove proxy settings on your Internet browser. # Remove the dial-up settings on your browser.

I have a new modem and having trouble intering password on smart TV.

Enter your router configuration screen through your web browser (http://192.168.1.1 or something similar to this) and change your password to something without special characters or capitol letters. Once done, go back to your smart TV and enter your new password. It should be easier for you and eliminate problems.

I cant reset password for my dlink 1155..dlinkap

Hello visit the homepage:

http://www.dlink.com/us/en/support

And download a user manual.

Or:

Resetting your D-Link router's Wi-Fi password is easy:
  • Type your router's IP address -192.168.0.1- into your Web browser.
  • At the login screen, select "Admin" from the drop down menu and enter your admin password.
  • Once you access the Web configuration screen, click "Setup" in the top menu.
  • Select the "Wireless Settings" link on the left-hand side.
  • From there, click on the "Manual Wireless Connection Setup" button.
  • Scroll down to the field representing my "Pre-Shared Key". If you don't see it, select a security mode from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen first.
  • Type in a new password. (I use a hybrid WPA/WPA2 security mode.)

The Forgotten Admin Password
If you forget your Web configuration password, you're stuck: you have no way to change any settings on your router. Your only recourse is to use a paperclip or other pointy object to reset your router to its factory settings. With the
paperclip, hold down the tiny reset button on the back of your router for about five seconds. Your router lights will blink to confirm the factory reset. You can now use the router's default password to log into its Web configuration screen (look in your router manual if you can't remember what this is). Once you're in, be sure to change this password to something unique.

Remember to save your settings when your done.

Good luck

Have a dlink print server dpr1040 and dlink wireless router how do i print wireless

DPR-1040 information - http://www.dlink.com.au/products/?pid=777

All of this is from the manual located at link above under the resources tab.

Wireless Setup

WPS (Push Button Configuration)
WPS simplifies the process of connecting to a wireless network to a touch of a button. To use WPS you must have a WPS compatible wireless router,if you do not then you will need to manually configure the wireless connection in the web configurator (see Web Configurator below).

1. After following the hardware installation steps in section 3, ensure your wireless network is operating normally. When ready, press the WPS button located on the side of the DPR-1040. The blue LED should start flashing repeatedly.

2. Within 120 seconds, press the WPS button located on the wireless router you will be connecting to. This button may also be located in the router's web configuration pages labeled "Push Button Configuration (PBC)".

3. If successful, a wireless connection will be established between the two devices.
This connection is secure and uses automatically generated encryption keys; you do not need to remember them.

Note: If you experience problems connecting to a device, please try again. If you still experience problems, the device you're connecting to may be incompatible with the DPR-1040. Also, make sure you are connecting to a router or access point (AP).

Web Configurator

1. After following the hardware installation steps in section 3, ensure your wireless network is operating normally. When ready, type the IP address of the DPR-1040 into your browser, the default IP address is 192.168.0.10. If this does not work, use the PS-Link utility to find out the IP address.

2. Upon accessing the web configurator, click Setup > Wireless Setup.

3. On the next screen, enter the wireless network settings as provided by your network administrator.

4. Click Apply Settings, the DPR-1040 will restart and the wireless setup is complete.

Note: If your wireless connection does not work, check that you have entered the correct network settings into the Wireless Setup screen.

Restraunt Pro Express problems

Option 1 (Ethernet II only): Using a web browser, type the default IP address (found on a label on the interface card) into the address field of your web browser. The configuration screen should appear. The default password for the interface is Epson. We highly recommend this be changed. Once the web interface is running, all application, network, printer and password settings can be modified.

Problems With Web configuration

Try this - 1) Check the IP Address first 2) Assuming that you have Windows XP. you may click on start -> run and type 'CMD'; Click 'OK' 3) This must bring up a black screen, which is the command prompt 4) Next to the cursor, type 'IPCONFIG' and hit enter 5) This will give you some information and one of them would be the Default Gateway, which would be the IP Address of the Zyxel router (if the computer is actually getting a connection from the router) and this IP Address is the one which can be used in the Internet Browser to open the web configuration 6) In the previous steps I'm assuming that the IP Address of router is not 192.168.1.2 7) In case, we have an IP Address of 192.168.1.2 and you are still not able to pull up the web configuration, check for any software firewall. Disable it temporarily. THE STEPS GIVEN ABOVE ARE GENERALISED AND MAY NOT WORK FOR EVERY SITUATION. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS GIVEN ABOVE, PLEASE INITIATE A CHAT SESSION WITH ME FROM THE FIXYA HOMEPAGE WHENEVER I'M ONLINE AND WE'LL CARRY ON FROM THERE. GOOD LUCK

Web Configuration Screen

You may have to remove proxy settings on your Internet browser. Or, remove the dial-up settings on your browser. The computer may not have received an IP address. Restart the computer or run the ?winipcfg? utility to dynamically assign the IP address (?ipconfig? for NT users), and then launch the browser.
