When i switch on my digital Panasonic TV (Model TX-32LMD70)using the remote control from standby (red light showing) the green (on light) flashes and then nothing happens i.e. the television does not operate. To rectify the problem, i have been pressing the power switch on top of the unit, off and then on - however even this no longer rectifies the problem. At first this happened occasionally, but now it happens very frequently - so the intermittent fault but has become progressively worse.

Is your TV still under warranty? This problem seems common on this site with the Panasonic brand. I really can't say what exactly is causing this problem, but it seems like something in the power circuit board is faulty. My advice would be to call Panasonic's Technical Support Hotline and speak to a Technician. It could even be a problem that has warranted a recall of that particular model. The number for Panasonic's Hotline is 1-800-211-7262. Or, you can contact them via e-mail @ www.panasonic.com under "Get Support". Hope this helps...

Sky remote code for model UE40J5100AK

Programming the remote control
To control your TV firstly switch on the TV set, point the Sky remote at the TV, press the "TV" button on the Sky remote, then press and hold the "Select" and "Red" buttons together until the red light at the top of the Sky remote control flashes twice. Press "TV" again then enter the code for the TV listings below (Use the 4 digit codes from the left hand column), the red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered. Press TV then the standby button on the Sky remote control, this should switch the TV set off, if so then press the "Select" button to store the settings. You should now be able to switch the TV back on and use the volume control button from your Sky remote.
If the TV did not switch off then it may require a different code, you can either start again using one of the alternative Direct codes below or continue with this process by continuously pressing "TV" then "Standby" then "TV" then "Standby" etc until the TV set switches off. This will provide a manual scan for variations within that product code.
If you are still unable to control your TV from the remote control see: Programming The Sky Remote or go to Sky's official website where you can see if a particular remote control version number will operate your make of TV, this can be found at:Skyplease remember to use your back button and come back to us.

Panasonic TX-P42X10B wont turn on - goes into standby

Hard to troubleshoot with just this info, the red light can be helpful if its 10 blinks repeating over and over replace the power supply first then the A board. Voltages check on the power supply would narrow down the culprit.
Post again if you measure the power supply voltages

I HAVE TO SWITCH ON MY VIER TX-32LMD70 TV TWO OR THREE TIMES EACH TIME WE WANT TO WATCH TV BEFORE IT POWERS UP. EITHER ON REMOTE OR TOP SWITCH. BEFORE IT STOPS FLASHING THE RED LIGHT. ON RARE OCCATIONS...

Anything is easy ... if you know how.
Whether this is an easy fix or not depends on your skill level.
Chances are pretty good you have some failing electrolytic capacitors in the power supply or inverter sections.
They are usually easy to spot because the caps will be bulging at the top or bottom or leaking from the bottom.
Any caps that look deformed or leaking need to be replaced.

Can't get my Panasonic LCD out of Standby.

I only have two solutions. Either, turn the tv on from the tv. or try checking the tv connection. If that doesnt work maybe the remote is out of battery.

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

Thomson DT!6300-16 has stopped working

Usually to fix most odd problems on the Thomson digi box you should do a hard disk format every couple of months, select menu, setup, help,
press green button on remote
this shows advanced menu, press blue button, warning should show,
press green button to proceed
takes about 2mins you lose all recorded programs

If the problem is the box stays at red, and won't switch on,
pull the mains plug wait a few secs then push and hold the the standby
button on the main box (not remote) then insert mains plug, as soon as the
red light flashes release the standby button and very quickly press
menu and OK in that order, don't hang about, it has to be done very quickly
I had to do it several times before I got it right, this loads a preloaded firmware
and the box will come alive again the box will upload new firmware in a couple of hours.

good luck from Ron.........
