SOURCE: supply expired

You can't. Cartridges have a date bomb built in, they may be expired.

SOURCE: hp inkjet 2200 cartridge not empty but the printer

There's a button battery on the inside left side close to the front (as you face the printer). Turn off the printer and remove that using long nosed pliers. (For easier access, unclip the support bracket post ( that holds the top cover open) at the bottom. Everytime you turn on the printer, it will reset to Jan 2000.

SOURCE: Bypass expired message cartridge. Cartridge is

Hi,

Every cartridge will have its own ID and Expiry date, please check the Cartridge expiry date, if its really expired then printer will reject it even-though the cartridge is full.

We cannot bypass cartridge errors for single cartridge in INK-JET printer, because they work in TIJ technology (Thermal Ink Jet) which needs all cartridges to be functional unlike Laser-jet printers.

How do I bypass the expired cartridge on a HP DesignJet T610?

The dates are on the package for a reason. The ink dries out or changes viscosity over time and will likely clog the printhead.
My advice is not to stock up on cartridges because of this problem.
If you look online, you can find replacement chips or instructions on how to reset the chip on the cartridge.

If expired cartridges are present in printer, the printer will not be blocked but error message\light will be displayed to replace cartridge.
If expired cartridges are replaced with new ones the issue should be fixed.

Hello. I have HP photosmart C5180 and I only need black colour to print some documents, I bought the original HP ink, but my printer says that I need to change expired colours too (pink, blue, cyan...) but...

Your model is a Inkjet printer working on HP TIJ 4.0 technology4. So it cannot work with one valid cartridge. You have to replace all of them to make you printer to work. This is what HP advices and highly recommends.

The Ink cartrdige can be bypassed only in Laserjet printers

"Expired color cartridge" message blocks black printing - nothing works

Hello merelU. I'm afraid you may have to replace the empty color cartridge as there may be problems with the printer while an expired cartridge is installed on the printer (even though some of the cartridges are still under warranty) and also, HP cannot guarantee the quality or reliability of expired ink cartridges.

all the best.

HP business inkjet 1100

This very simple solution works on my Business Inkjet 1100.
1) Turn the printer off, then back on, to clear the error.
2) Set your computer's clock back to a date prior to the cartridge expiry date.
3) Print something, (any documents will do).
4) Set your computer's clock forward to the correct date and the printer should still print, and ignore the expired cartridges.
My 1100 re-checks the cartridges and dates occasionally, but not frequently (it has been about two months between checks) so you might need to repeat this process every two months or so until you have used up your expired cartridges.

This solution is much easier than dismantling the printer and changing/removing wires!

2175 printer

This is a typical error with the 2175 / 2100 series.
1.) Error comes up if ink in cartridge's ink level gets too low.
2.) The ink cartridge's copper contacts are dirty. Dirt you can't see. Clean contacts with alcohol & cotton swab's (not dripping).
3.) The carridge contact's need cleaning. (Same as above).
4.) The cartridge, (even though new, can be defective).
5.) You are using a "refill kit" of some kind to refill ink cartridge's.
6.) After 1-5, re-set the printer. Power off printer wait a minute & power back on.
