It say loading OS image everytime I turn it on and it won't do anything else. What could the problem be? I have a passnet notebook.

Well its obvious that if its not loading then the image on the hard drive is bad. If it has a cdrom borrow the same OS cd from a friend use your key. If not you will need an external cdrom and tell the bios to boot from external devices again using a friends cd. You can as well have this done at a shop most have all OS versions there already--Good luck...

    The Sylvania Netbook SYNET7WID-Z does not have a Hard drive. It is simply a motherboard and nothing more. There is also no Cd Rom. and in the case of having the BIOS boot to CD, You CANNOT there is no other screen while starting other than loading OS. When i figure this out i will post the solution.

    There is noway to flash the contents of a bios chip to an external data device. Kinda one way street. You can have the flash chip rewrote but from Ive expierenced if they are losing there load the chip is bad. They can be replaced

Toshiba nb300 windows starter won't boot. PXE-E61 media test failure. check cable.
If your computer is working fine, then disable PXE boot in BIOS or remove from 1st boot option. This is a LAN (network) boot option. It can't find a DHCP server, that's why the media test failure is displayed. It's usually used to load an OS image from network.


For the most part not a real problem. More of a warning. Some corporate models use PXE to mass image.
If there is a problem (won't boot) then it lost communications to hard drive, and you need to check BIOS for hard drive.

Check to see if the door sags at all and doesn't line up correctly with the door latch. Then check to see if the drum wobbles when you rotate it yourself when not in use.

Hey guys, I have a interesting question for you... Every time I open any program of any sort (except for internet explorer) it doesn't even open, just gives me this "encountered an error blah blah...
what are facing is a problem caused by a virus that either destroys files that support .exe applications to run or it replaces which makes your machine unstable. my first solution to you is to repair your operating system using the operating system cd. secondly, if that doesn't work please try installing a second os on your system and then you do a dual booting. u then delete the folder of the previous os. if that does not work u backup ur files and then you format ur system with a new os

I have a Windows CE Sylvania netbook that won't boot to the desktop. I can turn it on, but it seems to freeze right as it turns on. It shows the start up screen where it says "Loading OS Image...
One temporary solution is to remove the battery for a while until all the capacitors in the unit discharge. Upon replacing the battery, you get one good power up try. Notice that the date and time have reset. Once you turn off the unit and try to power it up again, the problem comes back and you must again remove the battery for a while. There may be a patch to fix the boot loader, but I have not found it yet.

Is there an Image CD in the CD ROM? Make sure all media is removed from system. Also, boot into BIOS and make sure that it is set to boot to HD not anything else.
