What type of vehicle did you install this into? I can get you the wiring information if necessary. Make sure you are measuring 12V on your yellow (constant) power wire and 12V on your red (accessory) wire as well. Be sure to have a good ground as well. If these wires check out ok, check that the fuse (10amp below the radio harnesses plug) is good. Beyond this, you may have a bad unit. Hope this was helpful.

hello iff you are using low watt speakers this can cause it to break it would be wise to try a higher watt speaker and make sure they are wired as discribed they are all colour coded

If you go to Google and type in "2003 GMC Sierra Wiring Diagram" something should come up on the subject that will help.

If nothing comes up on Google then I would try to contact GMC and have them send you a wiring diagram

I have a pioneer car stereo model #qxa3196 and i wanted to know if it is compatible with an ipod. I was told it would work with the adapter throught the aux setting
QXA3196 is the part number for the remote. According to the Pioneer website, that remote was distributed with the DEH-1200MP, but may be compatible with many other models.

I have the DEH-1200MP model super tuner 3 and it would not power up after battery died and was jumped. There is a fuse at the back of the stereo that I unplugged and plugged back in and then the stereo powered up. I had already checked all of the other fuses. Took me a while to figure this out.

Metra part numbers:
  • dash kit \ 99-5802
  • wire harness \ 70-5600
the dash kit comes with specific instructions and on the pioneer harness and metra harness just match all the colors up and your done
