I understand that you are not able to us the microphone with Skype. As per the information provided in User Guide for the model it seems that the model has an Internal microphones .

Try configuring the internet microphone to use with Skype.
Open Skype - Tools - options- Audio settings- Set the input device as internal microphone and check the operation.

SOURCE: My internel microphone doesn't work with Skype -

You need to check the Microphone setting in Skype.
Open Skype, Click on Tools - Audio Settings, then in Microphone settings click the down arrow and select the built-in microphone then save the settings.
If the microphone you selected doesn't work then select a different one.

It sounds like some files are corrupted. Have you checked you device manager? Is there any read or yellow alert in it? Feel free to visit digitalsupporttech for getting help.

SOURCE: Low volume on my HP Pavilion dv6-1245

Open the audio panel (settings -> control panel -> Sounds and audio devices -> volume). Check that the volume slide is all the way to the right. Also, click on the "speaker volume" button and check it is all the way to the right

When I am skyping I can see the other person and when I click my video it wont turn on so they cannot see me.

So you have to configure your web cam before use it on skype.
Go to skype option and try it there also, if wont work go to camera software and there configure it.

if you have on it windows xp and if all camera drivers are ok . then you can start it from my computer .
if you have windows vista or windows 7 you need to start it by special programs which are working with your camera .

but if you will need to use camera for chats like msn , skype , yahoo you will need to set up the camera from settings of chat . and voila :) your camera is working .

When I make a video there is no sound, the picture is fine.

You have to see it up for Skype and also to user on computer.
Go to Control Panel and click on Sounds, then Click on Microphones and click on the Drop Down window and select the Camera Microphone. Then click on OK and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

Sound - no video

Both try using windows live and set up audio and video in the settings as you did with Skpe, as it's a similair programme and supports any camera. If that works better then Skype has a problem with your camera makes.
