If you are inclined to be adventurous I would try opening it up and check if the battery still has any voltage on it with a multimeter. (Shere is a little shield shaped sticker on the back that covers a screw for the battery cover). Since the battery died on mine about a year ago I have been running my Sport from a set of 4 AAA NiMH rechargeable cells. The fact that it does not respond to the PC suggests that the USB
connector may have gotten damaged so it is not making a proper
connection to charge the battery anymore. If you have this problem you are
probably out of luck, unless you are good with a soldering iron and can
replace the connector on the PCB - It is a very common type. But check with another USB cable first, (like I said, a very common type) AND make sure there is no damage to the connectors at the PC end.
