Hi, we have a Magnavox HD LCD, having cleaned the screen with only soap and water, we have huge black spots. These seem to be getting larger. Has the screen been damaged or is there a solution to be had?

Black spots on LCD - if these affect the picture, then it's an impurity, although LCD TVs don't require degaussing the same way a set with a tube does. It's all electronically controlled via the inverter board and backlighting. I'd say it's an inverter/backlighting issue - which will require a service centre to replace it; it cannot be repaired at component level.
I might be missing something here, did you use white as you font color? Or, is there simply no answer here? As I understand a solution is a possible "fix" to a problem, I see nothing which resembles that here.
