Firmware upgrade

Not sure if there are any more firmware upgrades for this model, but you can check on the D-Link website. Connect to your router using the browser interface and see what firmware is already installed. Then under the support section on the D-Link website look for firmware updates form your model. If there is, then Download to a known location on you computer (usually comes as a ZIP file). Unzip the file and using your browser connected to the router, upload the update.

I have D-link cable router(DI 604)..i want to

http://www.antifart.com/2006/09/02/d-link-di-604-firmware-rev-e.html

Before using these files, make sure you have the E Revision of that router, you can check by looking on the sticker that contains all the model information like serial, model number.

Be careful while doing a firmware upgrade, very easy to brick your router. Bricking refers to making the router no more useful than an expensive paper weight.

I am having a problem upgrading firmware on a DI-624. any help?

first of all, what is your router's firmware version? if it is 1.25, well there's no update as of this time. if lower than 1.25, here's where you can download the firmware http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=DI-624&rev=DI-624 .

Will not upgrade to latest firmware

The newest firmware version is actually v 2.01.
The file should be called DI634M_firmware_201.bin and is engineered for North American products only. Does that apply to you?
You can get the file here.
Important! - Make sure that you use only hard-wired network connections for upgrading. Do NOT upgrade firmware on any router over a wireless connection. This might result in a device failure.
Here is also a page with detailed instructions.

If you have any more questions or this doesn't work for you, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

D-Link DI-624 wireless router is not working after firmware upgrade try

Try to unplug the router and hold in reset button for 30 seconds see if that works, you probably did that already, But if you can get your computer to respond you should be able to open software Bios. and do your firmware update from there. If not I believe a hard reset is with the router plugged in and holding reset button for 30 seconds, I don't know I sure hope that resets it for you. Thanks take care
