Your computer problem is caused by a missing sound driver. You have to reinstall your computer drivers by it's driver installation cd. if you don't have it or your computer or soundcard driver installation disk is missing. then do this.

Try to find out your motherboard or soundcard manufacturer. You can download the driver that your motherboards or soundcard needs . But if it is too expensive there, try to use driver magician , after installing, driver magician will automatically detect your computers missing or outdated drivers. All you have to do is to Click the all detected driver that driver magician has detected from your motherboard, it will automatically search the internet and download the driver that you have selected. Press save, then install. There you have it. Have a nice day.

Testimonial: "nice... thanks po i'm start to re install my audio a couple of minutes ago and its work really really work thanks again ti all of you :)"

Hi udelie_dali,

Welcome to FixYa! How are you?

It looks like you have not installed the audio driver after you reformatted your desktop computer.

Please install the audio driver. You can find it on the cd that came with your computer or you can download it from the computer manufacturer's website (example: support.dell.com).

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you for using FixYa!

My desktop audio is distorted. The artist don't sound like themselves. They all sound like sopranos and they are not.

You may need to update the software drivers. Make sure you computers automatic updates are on. To see the status of the drivers, go to start, control panel, and sound. There is a drivers tab at the top. Click the link that says check for updates. Hope this helps.

No sound

Hi there.

If there is no sound coming out from your desktop, make sure that the audio card driver is installed or updated. To check on this, go to Device Manager ( START - Right Click My Computer - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager). See if there is a yellow exclamation point before AUDIO. If there is, then you need to download the driver from the Emachines website.

Thank you!

No sound in pc

What I could recon from your question is that your audio driver is not installed in your reformatted PC.

Please be informed that any Driver software depends upon the PC make, Motherboard type and Operating System. You need to know all the three information's to do get going.

Please find the Driver software's of your Audio and video inside the installation disk provided with the PC at the time of purchase. As you have not mentioned your PC make I am unable to give you the direct download link. However you can download the same by visiting the website of the company that manufactured the PC.

Even here you need to be careful to download the correct software for your PC. You need to be exact with the PC make and Model number and the OS that you are using.

To install just Double clock on the driver setup.exe file and go on clicking 'Next' until you get the 'Finish' option and restart the PC.

My laptop speaker is not working! it started not working only after i reformat my laptop ..

Surely you do not have sound drivers installed on your computer. Google your computer model followed by "sound driver" and over the results, enter manufacturer's official website. Download the sound driver, intall it, and check the sound operation.

I downgraded my acer aspire m1800 to winxp. Since winxp is not supported by this model, i had to tweak some things (bios) just to get it to reformat. It's now working except there's no sound....

I reformat my TM C6868 desktop. I lost the driver so the audio is not working now. There's no problem with the sound card.

if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound, video and game controllers you might see a yellow question mark? Right click to reinstall drivers or uninstall
click start control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers make sure you have selected the
(((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there
also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps
