How do I use a Zipit Wireless Messenger device with my D-Link router?

My zip it says - it recognizes mini sd but when i look for it under mytunz - Mini SD is not there. Music is on the SD. Any suggestions?

Zipit only supports an open authentication and a long preamble. Follow the steps below to setup your router. Note: If you are using WEP encryption, your network will be less secure when using an Open Authentication. You must also set your wireless clients to an Open Authentication (or Auto). Step 1 Open a web browser and enter the IP address of the router (192.168.0.1). Step 2 Enter the username (admin) and your password (blank by default). Step 3 Click on Advanced and then click Performance on the left side. Step 4 Set the Preamble Type to Long and the Authentication to Open System. Click Apply to save your settings. Note: Depending on your firmware version, one or both of these options may be in a different location (Home > Wireless).

the most possible reasons are: the firewall settings on your computer is enable, the firewall settings of your anti virus is also enable and very strict, and the firewall settings on your router is also enabled and is very strict to. I do suggest you disable this before downloading yahoo messenger.

Yes, it is a wireless device I don't see why not.
But you will have to allow the device to be seen by the router to have access.
You will need to check the wireless settings to see if you see the device on the wireless access list in the router. this is found on the status page.

If you don't see any devices connected in the DHCP client list on the router interface even when you are sure of the devices being connected, only a firmware update or a re-flashing of firmware can help. You can find the latest firmware available on the d-link support site. You can verify the model and version numbers and download the corresponding firmware. This is only fix.

Problem with router; Msn gets disconnected frequently.
It could be the proxy or firwall setting in the router.
you need to open the router page and check the firewall and proxy setting ..

or you can download the tool from the below site
www.ultrareach.com/
and it will take off all proxy setting and you winows messenger should work.

This should help you identifing if its a proxy issu.

What do you mean with a wireless card? Is there no wireless card in the PDA, or don't you have a wireless network? To set up a wireless network, you need a wireless router, or WLAN-router.
