Remote Management allows the device to be configured through the WAN (Wide Area Network) port from the Internet using a web browser. Step 1 Log into the web based configuration of the router by typing in the IP address of the router (default:192.168.0.1) in your web browser. The username is admin (all lowercase) and the password is blank (nothing). Step 2 Click the Tools tab and click the Admin button. Step 3 Select the Enabled button to enable Remote Management. In the IP Address field type in the public IP address you wish to manage the router. Note: If you don´t know the IP address or wish to allow more than one IP address to manage the router then put an asterisk (*) in the IP Address field. You cannot enter an IP range. Step 4 By default the port used to Remote Manage the router is set to 8080. Change the port number by selecting the down arrow next to the Port Number drop down menu. Step 5 Click on Apply and then click Continue to save the changes. To Remote Manage the router you will need to type in the Public IP Address of the router in your web browser along with the Port Number (separated by a colon) you selected in Step 4.

Remote Access

IF you are getting public ip from your isp, please go to administrator tab of the router and first change the router's password which is on the top on same page in black dots,,type your new password by deleting old one and re-confirm it just below and save it..router will prompt for the new password just to let you know settings are saved now enable remote managment option on the same page and port is 8080(default, you can use your own port number) and save setting..now you are ready to access your router remotely for that note down the public ip you are getting on your router's status page and in remote location you need to type something like :- http://x.x.x.x:8080...x.x.x.x is your internet ip (public) and 8080 is port number for remote management.

For host applications need to know which application you are running according to that need to open port in the router using Port Forwarding feature of the router.

How do I find out if someone from outside my home is using my wireless network

Hi,
You need to log on to your router/s and look at the log.
You should also change your security settings in your router/s so this won't happen again.

Good Luck!

D-Link DI 524 behind VNC access remotely - Need help....

Open a browser and type in htp://192.168.0.1 to access your router's web management interface. Enter the username and password (default is username admin and no password)
Go to the Advanced Tab and Virtual Server
Name=VNC
Private IP=IP Address of your Home notebook
Protocol Type=TCP
Private Port=5800
Public Port=5800
Set Schedule as you like
Enable the rule and click Apply.

To access you Home notebook from anywhere other than your house, go to http://10.0.57.46:5800

Next - remote management of the router.
The IP address that you enter on the remote management page is the IP address that is allowed to connect to the remote management. If the 194.145.183.83 is the IP address of your office, this should work. Be sure you apply a password or anyone going to http://10.0.57.46 will have access to you router, I also recommend changing the port from 80 to 8080 so that http://10.0.57.46:8080 has to be typed to access the remote management interface.
