We have a TI-89 and it is froze on the home page. we tried holding the 2nd button , left arrow , rigth arrow and pressing the on button. it comes up with installation in progress , but when that is done it is still stuck on the home page. what do we try next?

If you cannot see anything on the screen, you may need to adjust the graphing TI 89 Titanium calculator contrast :

1.To darken the screen, press and release 2nd key, and then press and hold up-arrow key until the display is sufficiently dark.

2. To lighten the screen, press and release 2nd key, and then press and hold down-arrow key until the display is sufficiently light.

Press left and right arrow and 2nd keys simultaneosly, hold it and then press ON. Release all keys at the same time and you will reset TI 89 Titanium

Press and hold the [left-arrow], [right-arrow], and [2nd] keys. Press and release the [ON] key, then release the other keys.

If you're willing to have all RAM cleared, try a hard reset.

Press and hold the 2ND, Left-arrow, and Right-arrow keys.
Press and release the ON key.

Try a hard reset. Be aware that this will clear all RAM.

Press and hold the 2ND, left-arrow, and right arrow keys.

Press and release the ON key.

Try a hard reset, if you're willing to lose the contents of all RAM.

Press and hold the 2ND, Left-arrow, and Right-arrow keys.
Press and release the ON key.

The following procedure will clear all RAM.

1. Press and hold left arrow, right arrow, and 2nd keys.

2. Press and release ON.

Here's the procedure for a hard reset. Be aware that it will clear all RAM.

1. Press and hold the left-arrow, right-arrow, and 2nd keys.

2. Press and release the ON key.

Try a hard reset: Press and hold the 2nd, left-arrow, and right-arrow keys. Press and release the ON key. Be aware that this will clear all RAM.
