Wireless Distribution System (WDS) allows you to make a completely wireless infrastructure. Normally, the access points must be connected with a wire (LAN). These access points create cells allowing a wireless connection. The WDS feature allows the access points to be wirelessly connected. This feature is normally used in large, open areas where pulling a wire is restricted or not cost effective and in residential circumstances. If the structure utilizing an access point is too large to cover using one AP, a second AP would be used as a wireless repeater. The WDS has forwarding functionality for extending the range of an AP. By setting up an extended service set (ESS) between access points. Stations can intersect with any AP of this ESS and move between the coverage of both APs while the higher layer network connection remains intact.

Can a DLINK DI-634M WIRELESS ROUTER BE USED AS A REPEATER?

No, sadly it doesn't support WDS (Wireless Distribution System), most of the time I prefer Linksys routers since are easy to configure and WDS capable, if you get two of them I'm sure you can establish a WDS network easily.

I am configuring a engenius eoc-3610 with wds on a wrv210 cisco wireless router but the internet once setup is very slow.

Every node added to a WDS network cuts the network transmission speed in half. This is just a characteristic of any WDS connection, as WDS is a repeater protocol (it has to retransmit everything it receives).
It's not clear from your description whether you are trying to add the EOC and the Cisco to the same WDS network. If that is the case, it's a wonder you got it to work at all, since WDS implementations are model-specific, and usually require every node to be exactly the same model router.

WDS Setup

In a WDS network, all the access points need to be in WDS mode, and one of them needs to be wired directly to a routed internet connection.
Here is a very good detailed tutorial on how WDS works and how to configure and troubleshoot your own WDS network:

D-link dwl-2100ap in WDS mode Received Deauth: WLAN 1 11G STA

I have had similar problems with DWL-2100 and (much less often) with DWL-3200. I have no solution, but a workaround: changing the authentication mode. For example, if the units are using WPA-Personal, I change it (on both) to WPA2-Personal or WPA-Auto-Personal. It doesn't seem to matter which mode is used, it's just the fact of changing it that helps (eventually). You may have to go through the process more than once. Also, realize that although the web interface comes up 30 seconds or so after a reboot, it may take another 30-60 seconds before a link is established, so don't give up too soon while trying these changes.

Pxe boot

The problem isn't that these systems stay in active directory, its that the record of their approval stays in WDS. My guess is that when WDS fails to find the computer in AD it fails.

The solution was to remove the approvals from WDS using wdsutil.
WDSUTIL /Delete-AutoAddDevices /DeviceType:ApprovedDevices

I ran the above command and the PXE process worked.

I hope this helps someone else.
