I have a Samsung YP-U1 and keep getting the error on the screen saying "No File". When it is connected to the Laptop or Pc I can see the files on the device but as soon as I remove it from the Latop or PC it states no file. this problem happened after formating my player. Any help would be appreciated.

When you format something, normally all files are deleted, and the file structure is set.

please ensure your Windows-PC-system is working properly, then get an appropriate windows driver at:
http://support.samsung.de/support/support_down.aspx?guid=d0098b12-d2b4-4998-a977-9d97d2e3c50c&sh1=&sh2=&sh3=&sh4=&filetype=DR

copythe zip-file to desktop, unzip, install, reboot and replug your samsung YP-u1.

Now you will have to update the player's firmware(software) as by formatting it beforehand you have removed its software.

Download the firmware from:
http://support.samsung.de/support/support_down.aspx?guid=d0098b12-d2b4-4998-a977-9d97d2e3c50c&sh1=&sh2=&sh3=&sh4=&filetype=FM

proceed as advised above.

To avoid future issues, do remove(delete) mp3s
using the windows file manager only or get and install the Multimedia studio at:

I have the samsung digital audio player YP-U1. I was charging it on the computer yesterday and I realized that for some real it stopped charging and i did not get a message saying that it disconnected. So I took it out and tried to put it in the usb port on the computer and it would not start charging. After that, I took it out and tried to turn it on, and it would not turn on. It hasn't turned on since yesterday afternoon.

Device is charging once connected to USB-port.
Is recognised by the computer but cannot be accessed.

iv had the same problem, all my files are on the Samsung YP-U1 when connected to the pc but when disconnected says no file.

I tried everything but with mine I deleted all the DRM files (Digital Rights Management) and re-copied the non DRM files back to the device and they seem to work now. I dont know if that'l help but its worked on mine.

If not buy a better mp3 player which'l allow DRM files

Format the mp3 player with FAT , not FAT 32,
and 16 bitar.

that will solve the problem of reading the files. It did for me :)

hey i lost my set-up cd for yp-u1 and i got a new comp how can i downlaod music into it without the compr econgizing my mp3?

the problem is usb hardware in host pc try other usb ports , or change yp u1 firmware.
