Our Toshiba 43A10 projection TV stopped displaying the picture. We have audio though. I thought it was the lamp/bulb, but when we took it apart to look at it, the three projectors inside will still flash a burst of light when powering on the TV. Any idea what is wrong with it and how I can fix it?

SOURCE: dim picture from one broken lamp??

The red CRT is most likely not the culprit. If water got on to any of the boards such as the red CRT driver board it could damage it wich also at the same time can load down voltages (200 volts etc) that can have a global affect on the other CRT's. Changing any on the CRT's by the average consumer is NOT recommended because you are dealing with a device that requires 30 KV (thats thirty thousand) volts to make it light up. Take these as warnings and consult with a technician.

Why won't my toshiba tv model 43a10 display color

It is by the model number a rear projection tube set--Look to see first if when a DVD etc is played you have color or not (via audio video jacks on rear of set)

If you do the set's color circuit is ok.

If using a box unplug it and wait--plug it back and let the box boot up.

If none of this helps the and the set has no color on all inputs you have some problem in the color or chroma circuit in this set---it is very rare for this to be a circuit problem.

I heard a pop on the Toshiba rear projection TV (model #62hmx84) and immediately lost the picture

Sir the problem of your unit is the lamp try to replace it it is much better to use a gloves and wash your hand after replacing the lamp because this lamp contains mercury. follow this steps.
1. Unplug the unit to main ac outlet. Remove the bulb housing cover from the back of the TV. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove the cover to reveal the old bulb. Using a cloth, remove the bulb from the TV by first unplugging it from the wiring harness. Carefully rock the harness back and forth until it comes free from the bulb. Push in the bulb slightly and turn it a quarter-turn to remove it from the bulb housing.
2. Install the new bulb. Do not touch the new bulb with your fingers, as any grease or fingerprint from your hands will damage the tiny mirrors in the bulb. Instead, carefully handle the bulb using the cloth. Insert it into the bulb housing and secure the door. Test the unit. Plug in and turn on your Toshiba TV and make sure that the new bulb is installed properly and that the image looks crisp.

3.
Reset the lamp time counter. Each Toshiba TV comes with a lamp hour meter stored in its software. If you do not reset the lamp timer, the unit may stop operating when it gets to a certain time (refer to your manual because each Toshiba TV is slightly different). To reset your Toshiba lamp timer, turn off the TV, wait 10 seconds, hold down the "on," "menu" and "input" buttons on the remote at the same time, and turn the power back on. A yellow light should appear in the bottom corner of the TV indicating that the lamp timer has been reset.
Hope this help good day and best regards.

Toshiba 57HX81: Green works but Blue and Red seem to be out.

Do you still have reds? Is the image still clear though discolored? If so you ought to replace the blue bulb which has most likely failed. The part no for the 57HX81 model blue CRT bulb is TOSHIBA     23008753.

Have a model 43A10 toshiba tv, has a purple color at very bottom of screen about inch tall. When i go into the menu, looks like writing is not lined up on the lower options of the menu. and partly up...

you either have a color purity problem or a convergence problem. purity can be effected by electro magnets in power supplys of audio amps and subwoofers too close to the tv

Convergence is the ability of the red green blue to drop on top of each other. can usally be adjusted via remote control. Please claify and repost.

46" toshiba dlp projection picture problems

Take out the lamp and clean it. Look inside where the lamp was and you will see a thin peice of coloured plastic (colour wheel). Vacuum that plastic and all around it but don't touch it. This solution worked for me, and now my TV is as good as new.
