My personal web camera is not functioning after it is being reformat. what should i do?

First, try to delete the movie from the computer - just navigate to it and select it, and press the delete key. If that doesn't work, use the format function of the camera to reformat the memory card (obviously this should delete everything, including the problem one).

If reformatting causes the file numbering to restart from 0001 and this messes with your personal filing system, you may be able to take one picture, use your computer to change the name of it with the 'rename' function to the number you want to continue from, and then start taking pictures again. (Many cameras will notice the numbered file, and continue the numbering from there; however, I can't guarantee that yours will do this.)

There should be a PDF guide on the installation CD. It will guide you through the functions that the web cam has.

Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
2. Then click on the Video Settings.
3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

HAVE  U INSTALL THE DRIVER CD OF UR WEB CAM IN UR COMPUTER. IF NOT INSTALL IT. AND TRY....

IF U INSTALLED THE DRIVER CD.THEN THE WEB CAM HAVE SOME TECHINICAL PROBLEM......

At least a couple of things. Have you tried a different CF card? If this takes care of it reformat the original a couple of times - in the camera. If you're in the area of a camera store ask the person there if they would reformat it in a XSi using Low format option. Then reformat it in your camera again. Check your auto off setting. This may have gotten changed accidently. Try a reset camera of all functions. Try setting your image to medium or small just to see if it goes faster. It really sounds like a CF card. 

There should be a reformat option in the camera. That will remove all the images from your card as well as reformat the card. The memory card should be reformatted periodically for optimal functionality.
