When I turn on this unit it only clicks like a relay is picking up. The blue power light comes on briefly, then off, then on, then off, it continues this cycle until I either shut it off using the on/off button or unplug it.

Simple, you may wanna used a test light and a 9volt battery, ground wire usually black, accesory wire it only gets power when key is on first turn (should go on and off with the key it turn your head unit on/off, memory its always.hot (power it keeps your radio memory ),mostly yellow wire, power antenna wire usually blue gets power when you turn on the radio and goes off when radio its turn off, lights wire from the truck turms on when your headlight are on connected to lights on the unit, power amp another blue wire comes out of the unit on/off with radio..to find your speakers..after you eliminated all power sources from the truck to the unit..click two at the time do not, Do not leave your speakers connected its just a cheap way to hear for the speaker thats clicking when you tap left right etc if the speaker sucks the cone insted of blowing forward its got the polarity revers always push outwards or you have the + n - backwards no schematic meeded..check your fuses first one accesory n other one batt..hope that helps..
the relay is the safety protective device..sometimes a defective component or something. maybe an overloaded power supply might caused this problem..so before any thing could gets worst..the relay will shut the unit..
if the wii still functions, the only time the blue power light is on is briefly when unit is turned on, inserting a disc, or using the power button it will also light briefly when you get a message on wiiconnect24....hope this helps....shia
check the switch in the colum that works all of that it might of melted and you have wire shorting out in there if so replace plug and probly a couple bulbs if there burnt out
The clicking is the power on relay closing and opening. This happens because the TV has several built in safety systems that will detect and over voltage and over current load situation. The power supply starts up for an instant, senses and overload of either or both kinds and then the safety switches trigger a cutoff. When this happens the power supply will not start up again because another circuit called a latch keeps it disabled. By unplugging the AC cord and trying to start it again releases the latch until the failure triggers it again.
On these TVs the power supply is rarely the cause of the shutdown. Something further down inside the TV has failed. Replacing just the power supply will not fix the problem. The most common reason there would be an overload would be in the high voltage circuit that lights up the 3 CRTs, next would be the coils around the CRTs that bend the beams to make the picture. This is normal circuit aging and wearing out. Unless you are very skilled with trouble shooting TVs I would recommend having a service center look at it. An authorized JVC shop would be your best choice because they will have access to the manuals and bulletins and have probably had other similar JVC units thru their shops.
