Our 4-yr-old dishwasher (Whirlpool 24-inch DU1100XTPQ) stopped in mid-cycle. A small amount of soap was still in the opened soap case and lthere was standing water in the bottom of the washer. None of the control panel buttons were lit up and none of them will work. All of the other electrical appliances in our kitchen are working. Linda Peterson [email protected]
You have a bad thermal fuse in the control panel. it's the whit thing with 2 wires going to it
take the screws out from around the inner linner of the door tto access the control panel, peel apart the 2 peices of the door. make sure you have no power turned on. on the right side you will see a black box usually. Take that off to access the fuse. The fuse is attached to the computer board if you have an ohm meter check continuity with the 2 wires detached from the fuse. Either they are 2 brown wires or 2 white wires. This should fix it
checking continuity will fix it how? what would we do with the continuity reading?
I have replaced the fuse. It blew again the very next run in mod cycle. Bought another fuse. Tested the heating element after unplugging the power leads. It's continuity is good. There is not short to ground.
Any clues on what is blowing this circuit board?
