Finally cracked mine today. Hold the left and right arrow buttons simultaneously for about 30 seconds and a new screen will pop up. It will ask for a 5 digit code instead of the four digit one. Type in 54559 (I guessed and used the Predator Trailcam postal / zip code lol)....worked for me.

Slow start up and non respnding programs with my windows xp 2002 service pack 2, Hp Compaq nx 6120. Can I upgrade my system to windows 7 ?

You may meet the hardware requirements, but performance depends on configuration. This is an older model, and may run even slower than XP. Don't forget the drivers. You may be forced to rollback if Win 7 does not support them.

QuickCam Messenger V-UAS14 Win7 x64

There is a work-around if you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate (or upgrade to one of those versions). Download and install Virtual PC and the XP mode software from Microsoft. Use the work-arounds if your hardware doesn't support virtualization. (You'll find the details at the Microsoft site. My computer that currently runs XP mode handles virtualization if enabled in the BIOS so I'm not completely informed on the steps.)

Then launch the XP mode software and install the camera to that "OS" as well as the QuickCam 8.4.8 software from Logitech. This may not be practical if you want to do video-conferencing with the QuickCam Messenger. It will depend a bit on how much memory you dedicate to XP mode since XP mode is 32-bit. (It will only see 3 GB.)

Since Logitech didn't include this model of the QuickCam Messenger in their updates to the QuickCam program for later OS versions, you are stuck this XP limit. You can also use a second computer, a dual-boot computer or another virtual computer program with XP installed. However, these require a licensed version of XP. Other virtualization programs include VMWare and Parallels.

I wish that I had better news for you. (It's a pain to have good hardware and no drivers. Unfortunately, I don't know any programmers who would be willing to write the drivers and software for the web camera from scratch.)

Moultrie d40 drivers xp

You don't need to use a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Moultrie D50 game trail camera won't take pictures in dark

Does the flash work? Could be flash circuit or day/night sensor. If you have another D40/D50 camera that flash works but has other problems, swap out the sensors. If not the sensor but the flash circuit then most likely one of the large charge capacitors which has to be soldered in.I use a digital multimeter with I/O capacitor test function..these caps should be about 250mfd.

Predator 500cc.i was out trail riding and it started to bog down alittle, shut it off and when i went to start it wouldnt turn over. my lights were flickering

First thing to check would be the battery connections. Make sure the positive and negative cables are tight. I've chased problems on several atvs, especially Predators, to find out the battery cables were loose. They will make the atv cut out or bog down while riding and make lights flicker. Let me know if you need anything else, Daniel.

There is black dot in left upper corner, every time i take picture of sky dot is there, it's not a lens cause i try different one, same result, any idea why?

Common problem, easy solution. It is dust on the chip.
At first try to blow the spot away on the image chip. Don't use your mouth or air, but use the airblaster.
And there are special swap stick which can help. Go to a photodealer, they will have the swaps. If you don't trust yourself, it's on the image chip, let the shop do it.
