If the battery LED blinks orange, most likely there is a problem with the battery itself. Try to remove the battery and have the power cable connected to it. If there is no battery LED blinking, call Dell to replace the battery itself..

Mydell 5160 has a yellow blinking light on the front 1st from right. any suggestion on cause or solutions.

It is the battery Status indicator and flasing orange light indicates that battery is low. After connecting the charger it should turn solid green, which indicates that the battery is charging and it turns off when battery is charged completely.
If it continously blinks, check out the charger and battery.

Dell inspiron blinking orange battery light. keybrd not respondg

Try this: remove your battery, unplug power, press and hold power button for at least 20 seconds, plug power cord back in but not the battery, press power and see if you get normal boot. If this is the case, your battery probably needs replaced.
