Hello. I desperately need help. I've tried every way of connecting cables. I can't seem to set up so I can record from my tv. There doesn't seem to be any output coming from tv's av1 or av2. Just want to at least be able to record what's on the screen. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

SOURCE: When trying to switch from AV1 to AV2 with the

The Red, White & Yellow connectors are your composite inputs usually classed as AV3 or component. The AV1 input is a Scart connection, if you have a scart cable, connect this as your AV source & the TV will switch from AV to component.

SOURCE: it's not really a problem.

As long as the N64 uses a composite cable (red and white for audio, yellow for video), you can use either connection.

AV1 connections are on the back
AV2 connections are on the side

No audio after recording from sat. Reciever

Double-check your input cables from the receiver to the LG 389. Do you have the sat. receiver AV out connected to the front AV In on the LG DRT389? Make sure that you haven't mixed up the L and R audio connections on either side. (I've done something similar with RCA cables myself.) Next, try a different set of cables.

If that doesn't work, there may be a problem with the audio jacks on either your receiver or the 389. To check, plug the AV cables from the Sat. Receiver directly into the TV. If you have sound and video, then the input jacks on the recorder may be damaged.

Try using another input. (It looks like some models have the SCART input; you may need to set the input source in the menu under AV2 Decoder.)

The fact that you have audio output on USB and DVD's means that cables/connections between the LG289 and the TV are fine.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the details of which AV port you are using on the LG389 for additional assistance.

RE: Denon AVR 3300 - I cannot get the system setup menu to display on Phillips P50PFP5332D tv screen? All connected components work and sound great, but I cannot see Denon's Setup menu on tv to a

I understand, it's something I've misunderstood on my denon avr-790 as well when connected to a samsung 8000 series led tv.
The answer isn't in the receiver's settings (you can be on whatever source you want on the receiver end when toggling the menu). You need to toggle through the tv's sources to find the menu (usually found on hdmi 1). I've spent towards an hour recently troubleshooting only to find that it was the tv's source that wasn't set properly and I was trying to change the receiver's settings instead of the tv's source.
Hope that helps!

Hello! I recently moved my Toshiba 26lv610u-t from my father's place to my own. It was a short trip as we live across the street from each other. When I connected the cable to the TV, I found that all...

There are no analog channels anymore as far as I know, if you mean the channels that are local and provide an off the air signals, you need to connect an antenna for off the air signals, it may be possible that at your father's place the off the air signal was strong enough to receive them. Try going in to the menu signal type select "Air" to see if that makes a difference, of-course you will lose the cable channels until switch back to "Cable" .Hope this helps, KA

Unable to operate recorder at all.

When you are turning the recorder on it is blocking the signal for cable going to the TV. Your TV will need to be on channel 3 or 4 depending on what the dvd/vcr player channel output is set to. This is why your tv is asking you to re-scan. It is losing the video signal because the dvd/vcr is taking over. The reason why the vcr with the button on the remote is because the vcr button is changing the function of the buttons on the remote to vcr. Even though the dvd/vcr is one unit they still will act like two seperate components independent of each other. They have seperate power buttons and the dvd player part may need to be hooked up seperately with rca cables to work.
