TV sound works fine. TV guide works and remote works fine also. There is no picture.
A cold solder joint was the problem. No high Voltage. Heated solder joints around the horizontal output.

If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. If the TV fell recently the following might apply to you: 1. Cracked circuit board very possible, try changing it. There is a very good chance that the circuit board has some broken traces. You would not be able to see this by eye unless this was very bad. The way to find this, is to troubleshoot the set on the bench to determine which stages are not working correctly, and pursue from there to find where the signal paths, or missing voltages are sourced from. If the set fell, there is also a good chance that the CRT is damaged inside. These tubes are extremely sensitive to being hit or jarred abruptly. I have seen a TV set banged against the side of a door frame while being moved, thus causing damage to the shadowmask of the tube. 2. Check for A/V input circuit board not seated all the way. If this board comes loose, your video will disappear. In case no violence disturbed you set: 1. It is very possible that something is changed in the user setup that is causing the no useable input condition. Check the owners manual and verify the proper user settings, especially the Tv-Guide settings for use with or without cable box or vcr if tv has that feature. 2. this is a fix for a similar set, might apply to yours: Try resoldering all 3 legs of q2300 the if amp transistor and usually pins 1-8 of u2300 the IF ic. This usually takes awhile because there are sometimes a lot of poor joints in that area of the board, look it over very carefully it usually fixes these sets. Good luck, and please try not to take any chances

? What is the model # off the back ?
Does the video work on the RF coax cable input?
For instance,as a test, can you hook-up from VCR coax RF out
to TV coax in,put the TV on Chan. 3,play a tape and get audio and video?
Are you matching colors when trying the A/V inputs?Yellow, red,
and white out of DVD to yellow, red and white in on back of TV?
Then select video input on tv===dial "00" or use input button on
original RCA remote. Are you using original RCA remote that
came w/TV ? Do you have the owner/operator manual for the TV?
Sorry to ask so many ????? Let me know how it goes!! T.
