Check this against your code, but iff EE is flashing you may have an internal electrical fault that needs to be checked out by a repair person.

Microwave "DOOR" in display.

Most likely the switch that senses whether or not the door is closed is either out of adjustment, meaning when the door closes it doesn't physically make the switch contacts close, or the switch is defective. If you can physically find the switch you can "trick" it by holding it closed with a piece of tape. If that works then the switch is simply out of adjustment. If that doesn't work then you can short together the two wires going to the switch which simulates the closed internal contacts of the switch. If that works your switch has failed. If neither works then you may have a broken switch wire or solder joint where the switch inputs it's signal to a circuit board. If it is a bad circuit board you may spend the same amout of money replacing the board as you would buying a new microwave. Please be careful with theses test procedures and remember dealing with electricity can be a shocking experience! Good luck.

Khhc2090s trouble

The sensor errors are probably just from opening the door and interrupting the sensor cook cycle.

By the way, you should always press "Stop" before opening the door of a running microwave. Otherwise, the door switches will prematurely fail.

I would first check the door switches and their mounts. See this help file.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

I have a Kenmore Microwave Hood Combination model 401.80082. We've had it for about 18 months, and it started having lock-up issues. Sometimes is displays "-SE-". We usually have to unplug...

"SE" means you have a shorted membrane keypad. It's not uncommon for it to be intermittent or partially operable.

On some models, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do it yourself job.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number (with suffix) from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

Some connectors on the relays may have a lock:

On some models, you have to peel off and replace the keypad. If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

On other models, it's most economical to replace the whole controller assembly / control box. Look up your model number at the link above.
