I can't open the DVD drawer. It says "Lock" and won't open. According to the manual to unlock it I am supposed to press 0 and 7 on the player while on standby. That is 0 and 7 on the remote? It doesn't work. I've tried 0 and/or 7 while presing standby on the machine and I'll try more variations. But it needs to be clearer.
My problem was fixed by...having the DVD powered off, holding down the stop button on the player and hitting the power button on the remote.
Good luck!!

POWER OFF (PLUG)
PLUG BACK IN WHILE PRESSING STOP ON THE MACHINE.
THAT WORKED FOR ME.
(The way I implemented CBASS99's suggestion)

Unplugged mine, then plugged it back in. Opened on the first try!

I fixed mine by turning the unit off, once the standby light came on I held the stop button and hit eject on the unit not the remote, it then said unlocked and powered on

Press "stop" and then "eject" on the player (not the remote) while in standby. The manual isn't very clear on the numbers they allocate to each function button and it is confusing when they sometimes mean the numeric keypad numbers.
