Question about 3Com NBX 2101 Business Phone (3c10248b-us)

Open Question

Line Noise I work for a school district, and we have dozzens of 3c10248 phones. I have two that have a really bad hum, but only when connected to the number dialed. The dialtone is nice and noise free. As soon as the party answers, you get a loud hum in the background. I have unplugged both phones and allowed them to update the new image. I have switched network cables. Any Ideas???? Thanks, Jason Feathers Fort Frye Local Schools Beverly, Oh 45715

What is a municipal bond?

A municipal bond is when the state/local government borrows money through bonds. People like these types of bonds because they are generally free from federal income tax. The bond is used for government projects.

My phone at the school that I work at is a Mitel Superset 4025, with the daylight savings time/time change. My phone for example reads: 11:20am when it is right now 12:20pm. Could you please guide me...

Your Mitel telephone gets it's time from the system, not from within the phone. The system admin or vendor will need to log into the system to make the time adjustment.
Most school districts that I have dealt with have an IT staff that has the ability to log into the phone system to make changes to things like names, extension numbers, reset mailboxes, and time change to list a few.
I am sorry that I really can't help resolve this without redirect to them.

Sincerely,
Mark

The phone has nothing on the display. It was left off the charger all night. It is making a humming noise. It is just the phone that is making the noise when it is on the charger. I have been charging the...

The battery might be bad. Try replacing the battery and if that doesn't help the humming noise also then something is wrong with the speaker in which case you will have to replace you phone.

Humming on clarity phone. did not hum when first purchased. old at&t phone does not hum when plugged in on same line.

Have had this symptom from bad line cord or corroded line cord connection in phone. Also, could be bad handset cord. Try switching out the handset and handset cord from the AT&T phone to determine if Clarion has bad handset or handset cord.

Without any washoe school district knowing how do you find a website that can unblock myspce? like completely not just little parts of it.

Contact the Washoe School District Information Technology Department, with a note from your parents, telling them that you should be allowed to access social-networking sites (FaceBook, MySpace, Twitter) because you are "internet-addicted" and will just die if you cannot surf the Internet when you should be doing your school-work.

Connection and Reception

I would suggest to try another phone. I am considering that the phone line is okay. It is possible that there is a fault in the power supply inside of the base station. I have seen the supply section in the base station go defective causing hum, and or complete failure of the phone.

If the power supply is at fault, the failure can be a voltage regulator, or some bad capacitors, or something along that line.

Motorola 580 handset not working

My handset does not connect to the base station. It flashes momentarily, but does not find the base. The base station has a humming noise when the phone line is disconnected and the talk button is depressed. Hum is also present when the phone line is reconnected. The problem was resolved by replacing the 9VDC power supply. The hum disappeared and the handset immediately connected to the base.

My Motorola MA580 sometimes work and others don´t

It sounds as if the channel that the phone and base has selected during that session is bad, or being used by another system in the area. When that happens, try selecting another channel. You should be able to do this by depressing a button on the handset. Normally labeled "Channel". Please post further questions or comments. Please rate this solution through fix-it. Thank you
