Hard to pin point your problem from your post. However, i'm refering you to the appropriate section in the manual out of the fixya website, follow the instructions as close as possible: http://www.fixya.com/BrowseManual.aspx?prdid=215248&mpgid=26294&hlt=install Some questions first- how come you're being asked to uninstall Benq before you actually installed it? didn't you find the program in the Add/Remove menu? have you tried searching for the file through the explorer search? (right click on start>search 'all or part of the file name "Benq" ' 'look in "local hard drives" ') have you tried restarting the computer? Hope you work it out, and if you don't try posting your problem again with more detail. Good luck

I want to know on how to uninstall IE8 on my computer i am running a windows XP service pack 3. I just want to install a fresh copy of IE8 . . . . .

Hi josephc_agni,

You cannot uninstall Internet Explorer 8 if it is set as not removable. This occurs if you install Internet Explorer 8 before you install Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Windows XP. If this scenario applies to you, then you must uninstall SP3 before you can uninstall Internet Explorer 8.

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, follow these steps:
  1. Close all programs.
  2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  4. In the list of currently installed programs, click Windows Internet Explorer 8, and then click Remove.

NOTE: If Windows Internet Explorer 8 does not appear in the list of installed updates, try the alternative step given below.
  5. Follow the instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
  6. When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.
ALTERNATIVE STEP:

To uninstall Internet Explorer 8, follow these steps:
  1. Carefully select and then copy the following command: %windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe
  2. Click Start, and then click Run.
  3. In the Open box, type Cmd.exe, and then press ENTER.
  4. Right-click inside the Cmd.exe window, and then click Paste to paste the command that you copied in step 1.
  5. Press ENTER to uninstall Internet Explorer 8.
  6. When the uninstall program is finished, restart your computer.

I need to install microsoft word but it is already in my comp but

You need to first uninstall the program (ms office)[if it's ms office 2003, as soon as you start installing the new ms-office 2007, it'll automatically upgrade to ms-office 2007].
I don't know whether you know how to uninstall programs or not, but let me give you the hints..
Click "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Programs" [add/remove programs on windows xp] now highlight the "Microsoft Office..." and click "Uninstall" button and follow the onscreen instructions. Restart your computer and again install the Microsoft Office 2007 using the set up file. If in case, you can't uninstall the program due to faulty/error/missing files, download this program ccleaner install it and run. Now click "Tools" and from the uninstall lists select/highlight the "microsoft office..." and cick "uninstall". If you still have the same problem, please let me know.

Good luck

I can't play or unistall The Hobbit for PC. When I try to uninstall it, a window pops up that says another installation is in process, but there isn't! What should I do?

If you are running windows XP, hold CTRL+ALT and press DEL on your keyboard. If you are running Vista or Windows 7, select Start TaskMaster after doing CTRL+ATL+DEL.

Once you are in taskmaster, click on processes and make sure setup.exe is nowhere in that list. If it is, click on it and then click on "End Process". Check for any other names of installers you may have used to install your game.

If you can't find anything there, download CCleaner and install it on your system. If you don't want the yahoo toolbar, make sure you deselect it in the installer.

Once CCleaner is installed, go ahead and click on the Tools tab. This will bring up an uninstall window. Try uninstalling The Hobbit there, as this often helps to get rid of pesky programs with non-working uninstallers.

Microsoft office stopped working properly

ok no problem, normally using a disk defragmentor will not harm programs or how your computer runs at all, only speeds it up by getting everything to work in sync which is good.

ok....if you are using vista, go to control panel, then programs and features, find Microsoft office 2004 or 2007 and click on it to highlight, now right click on it again, you will see some options come up, select repair and follow onscreen instructions
....if that doesn't work select uninstall by right clicking on it again and follow instructions, this will remove microsoft office from your computer ok, then use your install cd/dvd to re install microsoft office suite.
........also i think it is possible to use your install disc/s to repair or reinstall.
