One usefull thing to try - Place a blank piece of paper on the glass. Next, put your hand on top of the piece of paper and slide the paper back and forth across the glass. If you feel the paper sticking, you need to clean the glass with a glass cleaner, then polish the glass with a glass polisher(consult the manual first on this). You also need to clean the plastic between the glass and where the paper enters the glass. if it still doesnt work try to reset the machine, sometimes it takes some rest to reset such problems.

MFC 8820D ADF Will Not Feed Document

HP M3035 ADF has two black plastic pieces that interact with the roller gear assembly. One black piece has a cutout that fits around the blue button that you press to release the roller gear assembly and...

Unfortunately for this model the ADF section isn't broken down into it's individual components,
the part numbers available for the ADF are as follows: (direct from the Service Manual)

Control Panel
CB414-60101

Cover, ADF
CB414-67902

ADF feed roller kit
CB414-67904

Input tray, ADF
CB414-67903

ADF assembly
CB414-67916

Scanner assembly (ADF assembly is not included)
CB414-67905

However your best bet would be to call around to all of your local printer repair shops in your area and asking them if they have any of these M3035's sitting around for spare parts.
Otherwise I could try to find a good picture of the ADF Feed roller kit and see if it contains the parts you're looking for.

Hope this helps! If so please don't forget to leave a positive review for me. :)

Brother printed paper issue

The ADF feed-in rollers need to be cleaned or replaced. Try raising the ADF lid and clean all the feed rollers with a soapy solution and cloth. If the problem persists, the rollers and double-feed prevention pad should be replaced.

Ricoh 1027 ADF grabs multiple pages causing adf jam

you need to replace the lower of 3 rollers in the ADF (sep roller), for a temp fix you can clean this roller with wd40 as it will soften the rubber and get it to "grip". these rollers (lower of three) are always the first to go "bald on any mnf copier in the ADF and Drawers causing multiple feeding. they are used to allow one page at a time as they either turn backwards or offer torque (resistance) to lower pages

Paper is not feeding into the top.

I also was not able to copy, scan or fax multiple pages through the ADF of our HP Officejet 7210 AIO, but it would print well from the computer.

It would either grab several pages at once, or not grab paper at all. The device was trying to work but had poor traction action. Not sure if that's the same issue you are facing, but if it is, this is what fixed my 7210: I purchased part number C7309-60091 which is the feed roller assembly, and part number C7309-60076 which is the separation pad from Encompass Parts, and replaced them. The ADF works great now. The HP Officejet 7210 had only 5,000 pages printed on it, so I chalked it up to our very dry atmosphere here.

Fax feed jams, accepts single copies only

Check for pieces of paper that could be stuck in the ADF unit. If that doesn't work your ADF rollers are smooth and you should try replacing them.

SUDDENLY THE ADF DOSEN'T WORK I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT THERE IS A DOCUMENT IN ADF REMOVE AND PRESS OK

Problem:
I place a stack of originals in the ADF and press Copy or Scan. There is a sound of a motor running, a pause, and then the motor running again. The paper is supposed to feed during this second phase but does not always feed. For me, it would fail to feed, ask me to clear the ADF, and press "OK" a random number of times and then suddenly it would work once or twice and then fail again.

Diagnosis:
I am a retired engineer and my feeling was that if could work properly even once, then it should work every time. The problem must be something intermittant relating to temperature, humidity, age, etc. It must be easily fixed.

Solution:
The rear of the ADF has a silver-grey plastic piece which covers the feed motor and gears. You gain access by removing the one Phillips screw, opening the lid, and carefully prying the retaining lip at the right end of the silver-grey piece until it lifts up. The piece is then removed by sliding the retaining "leg" free at the right end of the piece.

Inside, you will see some white plastic gears. One gear is mounted on a floating idler arm. This gear controls feed and reject (I think). The feeder fails when this idler does not flip freely from one positon to the other. Carefully place a SMALL amount of very light (low viscosity) oil on the ider arm and verify that if easily moves back and forth.

Test the unit before replacing the silver gray cover piece.

That fixed it for me.
