Welcome to fixya!

You must have the mouse sander with zone calibration. Do you have a user's guide? This is explained in the manual on pages 7 and 8. Copy and paste this entire address into your browser. Once you arrive at the page. Look on the right side and click on "instruction manual" or it's adobe icon.

The flashing red light means that the sander is calibrating. When a green light appears, then it is ready to use. There are 3 different light zones which will be explained in the manual.
