Question about SanDisk 4GB microSD High Capacity Memory Card

3 Answers

I have a SanDisk 4GB Micro Sd HC memory card. It has always worked on my phone until about a week ago. Every picture i ever wanted to save was on there in case something ever happened to my phone. I put the card in my phone and it doesn't pull up my pictures with the one's stored in my phone. And when i take it out it says "Card not inserted" I went to my Tools and went to Memory and then Card Memory and it says "Total Available 0 MB Total Used 0 MB" So then i was told to try to format it and i did and it says "Failed" Is there a way to make it work? And is there a way to recover my pictures?

You can format the card by connecting it the computer, and the computer will guide you through the formatting process. After formatting, stop using you memory card and initiate a recovery process immediately. You can insert your card into a card reader, if the card can be detected by your computer as a removable disk, then you will have great chance to recover lost photos from sandisk memory card.

You can try some data recovery software. You can see
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/
It tells the steps how to perform data recovery.

If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use above mentioned software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.

Connect your SanDisk card with a card reader into computer. If it can be detected in my computer, you can recover your pictures with data recovery software like Tenorshare Data Recovery. It can recover data after deeply scanning your memory card to look for lost data. By the way,you can download it and scan your SanDisk card for free to preview whether your pictures can be recovered.Get it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverystandard.htm
When you insert the card into computer and it asks you toformat it before you use it,firstly recover your pictures with data recovery program then format it to make it work normally.

Sandisk micro memory chip not working in my lg620g cell phone

The LG620g works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work in this phone. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I purchased a 4GB Sandisk Micro SDHC card and inserted it into my Samsung Gravity 2... when I tried to format it it said "Error"... and after that the phone will not even recognize that there IS an SD card...

your samsung Gravity 2 wont read the HC format, there is not much you can do sorry. the SD HC is a newer format for devices in the last year or so. Older devices will not accept the HC format cards. I did the same thing! And im in the business, easy mistake. Keep it around though you'll use it soon, just not in your Samsung. Gurvy

SanDisk 4GB MicroHC card says card is dirty clean or format.

do you have a SD card reader for the computer? if not, getting one is a good idea. you can try putting the card into your computer to copy your pictures into your computer before formatting. And if you get the card reader from best buy. if this doesn't work you can always return it.

Micro sd hc 4gb wont work.

THe HC chip set for SD's and micro SD's have different programming in them and are unfortunately not backwards compatable with a standard SD host port. For you laptop, I reccoment getting a USB SD chip adapter. They're only like $6-$10 depending upon the brand. For your phone, however, I reccomend you take it back to the store for a trade-in on a standard SD chip, or for a complete refund so you can buy one from a store that carries standards.
