Reboot your computer and at the ASUS logo hit f8 this will bring you to a black screen with some different options. Arrow down to the option that says restore computer to last known good configuration and hit enter. It will bring up a list of dates, choose the one that is closest to the date that you knew your computer was working fine. It will then reboot and if all is good you will boot into windows. If this doesnt work, let me know and we will take a different approach. Thanks!

To Select Last Good Known Configuration and manually install the new driver: Approximate Troubleshooting time: 5-8 minutes
Reboot the PC and press F8 at startup Select Last Known Good and let the PC boot Browse to: C:\Drivers\System\UTLIntelMatrixStorageMgr3\ Run iata86enu.exe and follow the instructions (next, next…) In the event you get pop-ups that the installer cannot find a particular file, hit the Browse button and point to the directory: C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel Matrix Storage Manager\Drivers\ At the end of the install, accept the option to reboot. Login to the PC and verify the new driver installed. Open Device Manager and look for the Intel SATA controller (the name will vary between models) Open the device. Go to the Driver Tab (at the top). Click Driver Details. Verify that iaStor.sys is now version 8.6.0.1007
Try rebooting, tap F8 to get into the multi-boot options. Scroll down and choose "Last Known Good Configuration" windows should boot up normally. If you have made any hardware changes or if windows perfromed a corrupt update, that will require some additional help.
Hello, I sounds like you either have sypbot or virus. So, reboot pc and when first boots up, hit f8 and keep hitting it until gets into saft mode and run virus scan and delete temp internet file and clean your computer.
One more thing you could try is taking the battery out for a minute or two, because the Eee uses the atom it has a fairly complex onboard power controller that can overclock / underclock the cpu. Sometimes this gets malfunctions and locks the PC up, the quickest way to fix it is to simply pull the battery for a short while and stick it back in. You may well have already tried this, but it'll be the first port of call.
