Question about Ariston Technologies AW129NA 16 Lbs Front Load Washer

I have a Ariston AW 120 - I inherit this unit with the condo I bought - I can not open the door after I washed my laundry - any help is apprecaited

these door locks usually work with solenoids (sp) if you unplug the machine

unplug it.
open the top lid.
reach down inside and feel a plastic sensor/release behind where the latch is.
towards the left center of that sensor, feel for a metallic manual release (you'll just feel the nub of it).
Push this in and to the side to manually release the door lock.
Call Ariston and complain about this common problem.

it sounds like the nob is striped try replacing the knob.

The bacteria in the washer part are causing the smell.
Give the inside a good wipe round with a damp cloth to remove any visible residue.
Leave the door and soap drawer fully open so that the inside dries out after a couple of days; that should fix it.

Depending on your location, I would consider replacing the unit. Here in the states, parts are impossible to find and they where generally disposable washers,

On the bottom of the rubber seal, there is a drain hole. Check to see if it is clogged and clear it out if it has an obstruction.

Moved the machine, put in the locking bolts , when i did the first load it stopped after the first cycle ...now its full of water and washing and i cant open the door?

Try laying the drain hose down to floor level, and let the water drain out into a bucket or similar.
You should then be able to open the door.
If you can't, then it will have to be released from inside the washer, this means removing the top cover to gain access to the door lock.

Washing Machine Door will not open

it is poss that you pressure system has not released, and this can keep the door closed. Unplugging it will not cure this fault. It is also poss that you have a blocked filter or waste. Unfortunatly has you are older people I would call an engineer

problem is probably tjhat liquid detergent has been used - gives a smell loke drains. put on a boil wash without detergent and use powder detergent
