The full bucket light stays on yet no water is collected

if water full light stays on the compressor wont start and remove water from air , investigate why light stays on ? is bucket really full? is sensor knocked out of its fragile holder ? is bucket all the way inside machine so that sensor is connected ?

Dehumidifier stopped working because "water bucket full" indicator light stays on, although there is no water in bucket.

In the water bucket is a float assm. scale forms on the assm. and causes it to stick. Remove the float assm. and carefully remove the scale. Should start working again once done. If not you may have to replace it.

How much water do I put in water bucket on this thing?

You don"t put anything into the bucket. A dehumidifier will fill the bucket for you.

It runs but leaks water, water won't stay in bucket

Denise, there are several things that can cause the problem.

1. The water collection bucket is not installed properly. Turn the unit OFF and remove the bucket. While you have it out, look at the top of the bucket, is there a float valve near the top. If so, it may be stuck in the DOWN position, which tells the dehumidifier the bucket is not full yet. Jiggle the arm of the float valve to see if it moves freely. Reinstall the bucket bucket "squarely" from top to bottom into it's holder. The bottom should not tilt down at all, if installed properly.

2. The drain tube to the bucket may be clogged. To solve this problem do the following:

Remove the water collection bucket and look up inside the bucket holder cavity. You will see either a drain hole or small tubing that drains the water into the bucket. Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hole or tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow. Reinstall the bucket, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level to 35% or Maximum if you have a manually controlled unit. Allow the unit to run, while you monitor it for any leakage.

NOTE: If you don't have a Zip Tie, you may use something similar ( i.e.a long pipe cleaner), but NO wire coat hangers
.

3. The water you're seeing may not be from the bucket overflowing or leaking. It's condensation that is has built up on the cooling coils and is dripping down under the unit. If this is the case, it's an indication that the coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Warm water and dish washing liquid works well to clean the coils. Be sure to rinse them with a damp rag, dry thoroughly and spray a light coating of WD40 on them.

I hope that all the information I have provided will help you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Product Goldstar Dehumidifier GHD30: Machine runs when red button is depressed by hand. Return water bucket and machine stops. Set theromstat controller on max, and when button is depressed it works and...

Hi

You need to check that the bucket is clean and that the sensor for the water level in the bucket is clean.

An old toothbrush and some warm soapy water can sometimes achieve a great result.

Failing this you may need a new sensor, be careful and either draw or photo the old wiring route with your cell phone to make it easier to fit the new sensor

Hope this helps

Are you supposed to put water in the bucket of the dehumidifier or is the water that is in the bucket now from using the dehumidifier? Dumb question I am sure. But I am renting and have never used one...

The dehumidifier condenses the water on its coils and then it drips into the bucket. Dump out all of the water when the bucket is full. This model has a light that tells you when it is full. If the dehumidifier gets ice on the coils, it needs repair (low refrigerant).

I hope this helps.

Dehumidifier not sure is working

There is water in the bucket or no water in the bucket? If there is water in the bucket then empty it and put it back. If there is no water in the bucket then make sure the bucket is all the way in, (there is a switch that senses the bucket). If the bucket is not all the way in the de-humidifier will not work. If you do not hear it, it is not working.

Danby continuous water flow will not work on a dehumidifier it still fills the bucket

Please try the following:
1) Remove the bucket.
2) You will notice a round outlet/spout where the water drips from into the bucket.
3) Remove the plug from the backside of the unit (you will now see a hole to the bucket area).
4) Feed a hose through the hole from the back and attach the end of the hose to the round outlet/spout.
5) Place the other end of the hose on a floor drain outlet.
6) Put the bucket back into the unit.

When the unit is turned on, the water will now flow through the hose instead (into the floor drain). When you want to use the bucket again to capture the water, you will need to remove the hose.

I hope that helps.
