When pressing the normal wash button the washer at first won't lock the door. It acts like it wants to start but instead just gives a click click sound....then goes into error. It flashes F then dL on the screen. Today I tried to wash something and now the door is locked and and I haven't been able to get the washer to work. Suggestions?
Remove the top cover of washer at rear is the main control bd try wiggling the wires on front side usuually the larger wires if it works bad connections on control no fix but to replace it ..HOWEVER try shimming the plugs in place to hold them in position where it will work...possible door lock itself but control more likely

Front load washers won't fill if the door is not closed and locked. Listen for the door locking when starting a cycle, then pull on the door to make sure the door is closed and locked.
Delayed Start Feature
Some washers have a delay prior to filling, where the electronic control is checking the dispenser function. This is Normal.
Flashing Lights or Error Code on Display
When there is a filling issue, the washer may shut off and display one of the following codes: LF, LE, nF, IE, FH, E10 or F20.
If the washer is displaying one of the above error codes, then do the hard reset procedure listed below.
If the appliance is not accepting input from the control panel, follow the steps below to reset the control:
Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet or turn the breaker back on and wait 30 seconds.
Press the Pause / Cancel / Stop button twice to clear the display.
Start a short cycle, to check operation of the appliance, by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the appliance starts.
DL f is a door lock error and is caused due to an
issue with the door lock when it is unable to lock/unlock. Please check the
door lock mechanism/door switch assembly and replace the part that has gone bad

Error DL sound like a door lock problem. The door latch lock assembly is all one part. If door doesn't lock a signal is sent to the main control telling it there is a problem. Thus the error code. Nothing will work till door locks. 3 screws hold the assembly in place, but you have to partially remove door boot to get the door latch out.
that is the code for door lock. ensure its not stuck or something in rubber boot stopping door from closing all the way and try to reset it.
maybe by unplugging it for a coupkle of minutes

It is saying there is a problem with your door Lock. when you close the door does it hold like it use too? try to open and close the door if it doesn't really close properly then you will just need a door latch. If the machine gives you an f11 code then its the main computer board that can also give your the door lock error. I would check the door first though.
remove bottom panel reach up toward lock area and pull down door should unlock..ckd door lock for problem also ckd small push button in lock area to make sure it's not broke or the latch part on door

Replace failed component.
The FdL fault is a door lock error code. It sounds like you may have a bad door latch. Unplugging it and/or pushing the cancel button will not clear the fault as long as the fault condition exists. At best, you may have to replace the door latch. At worst, the CCU (main computer) could also be bad, causing the fault. The door latch can run about $50. The CCU is about $200. Double check all you wiring first before replacing any parts. I hope this will help you.
