I saw an 02 and then an S. the water does not drain and the door does not open. What should I do?

It may be a good idea to pay somebody to come out and clean the defrost condensate drain it's pretty complicated for just the homeowner to do. I do this all the time that requires taking the freezer drawer out the freezer door the rear wall of the freezer and defrosting the drain and forcing water through the drain to ensure that the drain is open before you close it back up I also install a piece of copper wire from the defrost heater element into the opening of the drain to ensure it does not freeze over again.

Error F-02 is a slow drain problem. Remove lower front panel. You will see a circular door. Be prepared for a lot of water and junk, maybe keep some old towels ready. Open, clean out, check pump which comes right behind it - see that blades rotate freely; refit carefully. You are done, for the next six months or so, depending on usage.

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
• If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

If you can drop down drain hose to floor level then drain into bucket this will allow you to open the door . Sounds like coin in the pump /remove the filter and clean check pump blades are free...Good luck

in all cycle with seven min left washer, m-c45092 stop and door open no spin cycle. pete.

F01 refers to Long Drain Error.

Reason -

Long Drain

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and "F/02" is flashed.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the "Sud" error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.


What Needs to be Done -

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

* Check the drain hose
and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
* Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
* Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
* If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

The error code F-02 on the Kenmore HE3 means that the drain pump could not pump out all the water within 8 minutes. Not sure what this has to do with the door being locked,, but its also possible that if the machine thinks there is still water in the drum, or if in fact there is still water in the drum that it would keep the door locked as some sort of safety precaution

Open and close the door.
The door has to be opened between wash cycles.
Check the door switch/lock unit
using the diagnostics listed below.
If door is locked, Drain the unit.
Check wire harness for connections.
Check the touchpad/LED assembly.
Starting the test mode:
Close the door
Press Control On button
Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle
Select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SELECT button,as needed,
Push Prewash Option button 4 times within 5 secs.
C:00 will show in the display.
To advance to the next step
Push Prewash Option button 2 times.

I don't have a solution but I feel your pain.

I had an F02 error flashing so I got brave and took off the front panel and opened up the drain thing. What a mess! Water everywhere and OMG,the filter was caked with goop, a popsicle stick and a piece of metal.

I still get a Sud error so I am having the Sears guy out in the morning.

remove bottom panel..reach up from bottom to door lock area pull down on small tab hanging there door will release ..dip all the water out you can ..shop vac will help..remove the knob on front of pump have towels handy clean pump trap ck pump impeller for obstructions reassemble and ck if problem persists may be loose impeller on pump
