Connection problem with my MP3 player

My windows media won't recognize my player when i try to convert CD audio to MP3 files. It says I need to connect it again even when it is hooked up to the USB port and everything. It also says in the directions I should have a removable disk section in my computer but I don't have that either. How to fix this?

Disconnect the player reset the computer and try reconnecting it, if this fails you might want to try reinstalling the player after another restart when the player is unplugged!

Music won't open

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Have poloroid mp3 player model 151, 2 gbs, it won't play audio books, files with AA extension. Audible.com site has no solution, i.e, doesn't list this device ed [email protected]

MP3 players play audio/music files that have mp3 file extension.
You need to convert the audio books to MP3 format.
If the audio books are on a CD, then you can use Windows Media player to RIP (convert) this to MP3 files.

"fille system error"

If it is a certain file, or a group of files, i would delete all audio from the media player, and read the system handbook, to see all compatible files, and buy a converter to convert them the the right file format. some converters are AVI, which I would recommend. When i bought it, it was around $20. Most likely you Mp3 plays (besides MP3 format) a windows media player format, since Windows Media Player even has a sync button to download songs quickly to your audio device. If your files were in the right format, then they might have been corrupted, or invalid, meaning they had information missing, or they werent correct with the codes. So I would just re-load them.

Same as others format not supported and need step by step instructions. Found device manager but don't know what I want to fix. Don't know how to change format to mp3 format either. Guess there should be...

I'm going to do my best, but understand that I have answered this same question - I'm not kidding - thousands of times, so I'm tired:
1. Music files come in several formats. The most common are mp3, wma, aac (iTunes), wav, and ra.
2. All GoGear's recognize mp3 format. Some GoGears' (like the SA6045) recognize protected WMA's, and some do not. No GoGear's recognize iTunes yet.
3. To avoid belaboring this point - only download songs in mp3 format. Any other music format will give you constant headaches if you are an mp3 dummy. It is harder, more expensive to download true mp3 files, but they will last forever. Every other musical format either: a) will not work with your GoGear, or b) will give you some kind of problem down the road.

If you need help transferring songs using Windows Media Player:
The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it
