Hi, my wife has a go go elite traveller approx 1 year old. Everything works fine except the brake. Any slight downhill incline and the scooter bleeps and becomes inoperable. The scooter then freewheels which is quite dangerous. You have to turn off the ignition and turn on again on a flat surface to continue. I notice that even with the lever on lock, i am still able to push the scooter. The scooter has only had light usage and is kept charged as per the manual. Any assistance would be good or a list of service centres. Thanks

SOURCE: My go go elite Scooter will not work.

It may still be under warranty.  What kind of reading did you get from the batteries? If they are below 12.0 volts they may have a poor memory. If you leave a chair un-charged for a long period of time the batteries can discharge to a very low level. The charger cannot bring a battery up from 11 voltsDC. You will need a slow car type charger or new batteries.

SOURCE: AXS Mobility scooter loses battery power quickly.

hi , two problems can cause this,

1. batteries are weak, is the charger ok ? just because it 's green does not mean the charger is ok, can you validate the charge, try some other batteries ?,

2. Brake be activated or on at all times,
The best way to prove this is to remove the brake mech from the side of the motor completey now try the scooter, if the problem goes away then check the resistance of the brake, is it open or shorted ?
If you feel the brake, batteries and charger are working ok then the controller must be activating the brake and this is the fault but please double check the voltage on the brake leads.

GeWiz.

SOURCE: Pride Celibrity 3 wheel electric scooter. The motor isn't working

the click is the electric brakes releasing , most likly the problem you are having is the brushes in the motor may be shot cheap easy fix on each side of the motor there should be what looks like a flat head screw those are the brush covers remove them and check them replace as need , otherwise the motor may be shot

Why does it beep five times when key is turned on and controls won't work

hi, the 5 bleeps are related to the brake,,, located at the rear of the scooter located on the side of the motor, attached to that is the free wheel lever,, in drive mode ,, check that the microswitch is working correctly, check the wire( connectors etc ) from the brake to the controller ,

How do I get my gogo elite traveler plus hd to engage the brake when parked on an incline?

Hi Scott, the brake itself could be failing or the other issue could be the controller itself or simply a bad connection (hopefully), so check the connections from the brake to the controller

We have a elite traveller 4 wheel and have just washed it. We have left it to dry ans just turned it on to use it and it is letting out one continious bleep. Can you please let us know what to do?

Take it out of freewheel and see if it will work Next time just wipe it down with a damp cloth instead of washing Washing can cause the brake to rust on the motor case and thats not good also will rust hubs to axles and you won't be able to replace the wheels when they wear down Hope this helps

7 bleeps on my GO GO ELITE TRAVELLER SCOOTER

Hi. 7 beeps is fault code for a faulty speed potentiometer. Might also be a broken wire on the pot or a faulty connector. Most times, a new pot will fix the problem.
Good luck. Neil.
