Question about RCA RS2652 Shelf System

CD's Stuck Just got this stereo system for Christmas. I decided to set it up quick before I travelled home, not reading the Manual. I entered some CD's to test out Volume ect. But instead of taking them out I left them in and transported the system with them in there. Now it wont let me play or take out the CD's and I have found no solutions in the Manual.

Unpacked the stero that has been used only 2 or 3 times since purchase. It is stored in its box when not in use. The Disc Status Display has all the lights lit. (No CD's are inside). The CD disc tray will not open. I have unplugged the unit several times. I have changed functions. The DISC SKIP does not make the tray move.

What I did and you might want to try is I turned it upside down and shuck it. This might work because the cd could've gotten stuck behind the disc tray. Usually if that's the problem you can here it in there. If that doesn't work and its under warranty take it back and they'll give you a new one and Cd's.

New CDs may have some rough spots around the inner and outer edges. If such a CD is used, this unit may reject the CD. To remove these rough spots, rub the edges with a pencil or ball-point pen, etc.

I think what is happening is that your soundsystems settings are set up to use a 5.1 surround and
when media like a standard stereo (2 channel) CD is placed into the player it doesn't have the extra channels. Your system should have settings to change between standard stereo mode and
advanced sound modes like Dolby 5.1 and DTS. Once the system is se to match the media its playing it should work fine.

see:

You should be able to find a manual for your system or one similar for more help.

Just got this set for Christmas, hooked everything up, but am not getting any kind of sound. What do i need to do to get this thing going?

I assume you have this connected to a professional type PA system (you would damage a consumer stereo system) You should be able to use headphones from a headphone jack... do your testing with that. There are many tweeks of the electronic box and you USUALLY have to CALIBRATE the box for each of the triggers. Sorry, but one does have to spend a bunch of time reading the manual on setup and reading is not as fun as playing... Get familiar with the menus in the box as that is where it all happens...

Zune problem

ok first off, you need to set your stereo system to aux....remember aux the zune is not a cd player.
depending on the brand of stereo system there is a setting were you can change it from cd, to radio and AUX. SET IT TO AUX
do you have a stereo head phone jack on your stereo system, if you do a much better solution is getting a double sided audio cable and plugging the zune directly into the head phone jack to your stereo system it costs maybe $10 for a good gold plated phillips

what i mean just incase you didnt understand is you need a double sided plug for the headphone jack, this plugs into most stereo systems

Same model, same problem. (CX NA-50) I have one that worked great for two years (at best) and I haven't used it since then. I recently decided to look for a solution via the internet.
I read somewhere else that there was a class action settlement with aiwa (now expired) since many of these units had this problem.

How do i unlock a jvc home stereo

On the unit, press the stop button and the cd eject button at the same time. The screen will say locked still. Release them and press them together again at the same time. The screen will now read unlocked. You can then eject the cd.

Check the fuses in the fuse block under the hood. Your clock fuse and radio constant power fuse are combined in this vehicle.

Home Stereo System

Sounds like a internal error on the amp itself. Maybe it caught a surge, I had a stereo unit that got zapped by the way it was unplugged from the wall.

Stereo won't read cds

You might try running a cleaning CD in it (which cleans the lazer lens). These are available from Wal Mart and many other sources. If a cleaning doesn't get it going, then you may have a lazer that is weakening and might need to be replaced (sorry!). Hope just a good lens cleaning will do the trick.
